  1. Thanks for your answer. That is correct. It is something like in the attached animation. The limitation with the Level Set was that the two cylinders had to have the same fluid and the other fluid was air which was not the case in reality. The two cylinders have two different fluids (+ outside air as the 3rd) and I was looking for a way to model that with the Eulerian Method; so I can visualise how well the fluid in the exterior cylinder encapsulates the fluid in the interior cylinder when they meet in the air.
  2. I see, thank you. In this case, since the CFD part of the cosimulation involves mixing two fluids between themselves and with air and since the Level Set method allows for 2 fields only, can the Algebraic Eulerian Model be defined in AcuConsole?
  3. Hello all, I am trying to do a cosimulation MotionSolve-AcuSolve similar to the one in ACU-T:520. Is it possible to prepare the model in HM-CFD instead of AcuConsole? I couldn't find any provisions to define the External Code Parameters and the related information like External Code Surface and the rest. Is there a way around it? Best regards, Cjc

    Hi all, The Acusolve 2018 Release Notes announced the added Multiphase capability which allows more than 2 fields unlike the previous versions which allowed only 2 fields. I have been trying to use this feature but in Auto Solution Strategy there are only Field 1 and Field 2 visible, regardless what one defines in Multiphase Parameters (three Fields and their associated Field Interaction Models and Multiphase Models). Has anyone come across this issue? Best regards, cjc
  5. Hi Prakash, I have attached a test model ran in both Marc 2016 and Marc 2017 and the results for both versions. The 2016 results import as expected ( Load model: filename2016.dat, Load results: filename2016.t16) The 2017 results failed to import in any combination. The model from the .dat file (Marc 2017 deck) comes in as one single collector but the results, I wasn't able to import. The HM version we are using: hwAcuSolve2017.2 hwAcuSolve2017.2.1_hotfix hwDesktop2017.2 hwDesktop2017.2.2_hotfix hwSolvers2017.2 hwSolvers2017.2.3_hotfix test_marc2016_prl_d.t16 test_marc2016_prl_d.dat test_marc2017_prl_d.t16 test_marc2017_prl_d.dat
  6. Thanks for your prompt response, The message is: “Error loading results” for HvTrans. For HyperView : Warning: failed to verify file (C:\fea\faraday\test_marc2017_prl.t16) using reader "MARC t16 Result Reader" Error: failed to read model from 'model' resource. Error creating result math analysis [General] If one tries to import just the model from Marc 2017 .dat file, the error message is: Reader: MARC Model Input Reader....Error loading model. [General] Both HV and HvTrans work ok if the same results are from a Marc 2016 run.
  7. Hello all, Is there any way to import .t16 results generated by Marc 2017 solver into Hyperview? HvTrans doesn't read Marc 2017 .t16 either. Marc 2016 results of the same model are read OK. Best regards, cjc

    Hello all, With the new multiphase capability in AcuSolve, is it possible to have more than two fields? I'm a trying to simulate the mixing of water and a non-newtonian fluid, squeezed into air, out of two cylinders. If both chambers contain the same fluid, then a Multifield fluid-air model model worked fine but visualisation of the mixing of water with the other fluid is also required. Thank you

  11. Hello all, I am trying to simulate something similar to Workshop 9 - Honey in Tea - but with two initially separated species instead of one which will mix with the tea and between them. I have defined Species 2 in the same manner like Species 1 and with concentration 1 in the initial volume of the second honey lump. I don't know how to define the material of the mixed fluid. Any suggestion much appreciated.

    Hi everyone, I am trying to go through v14 tutorial HS-1535. After opening Hyperstudy from within Hypermesh-Desktop and Launch, I encounter the message: Unable to find E:/hs1535/approaches/nom_1/run_0001/m_1/inflow_pressure.osi Error writing E:/hs1535/pipe.xml The working directory is E:/hs1535 where I copied pipe.hm and run_acusolve.bat The Solver Exec dir is in the HyperStudy Job Launcher points to C:\Altair\14.0\acusolve\win64\bin I have tried pointing it to an edited run_acusolve.bat without succes. I vaguely remember some versions ago there was a similar tutorial 3000-something which worked ok so I am clearly missing something. Any help much appreciated. Regards, Cristian Cursaru

  15. Hi all, I am trying to extract temperature results from an Acusolve run for further simulation elsewhere, similarly to tutorial CFD-1700. Is the Tecplot result file generated in AcuOut? I couldn't find a way to do it; Table/ Surface Output (Nodal) gives me no variables. Regards, Cristian
