  1. what is the end objective remote forces and for what type of analysis you use remote forces?
  2. I tested this in EDU 2019 version and it works as expected. In the 2019 version we made changes in the graphic engine. Please test briefly if the environment variable HW_USE_OPENCL changes the behavior. Please do the following steps: 1. Stop all instances of HyperWorks 2. Set the environment variable to HW_USE_OPENCL=0 3. Start HyperWorks and check if the behavior has changed when clicking Grids. or Try updating graphic driver.
  3. Which version of HyperMesh you are using?(Student Edition or Full Version/2017 0r 2019) Share screenshot of Help: Updates and System and Information Operating System?
  4. Please check by deleting setting files. https://forum.altair.com/topic/13434-how-to-delete-settings-files/
  5. Curve you can define in MATS1 card with TABLES1 entry.Set the type to Plastic for Elastoplastic material.Refer attached deck. tensile_lg_str.fem
  6. Please try by deleting setting files.
  7. Design of experiments study done in Altair HyperStudy. Please refer to below online HyperStudy tutorial. HS-2000: DOE Method Comparison: Arm Model Study
  8. Which version of HyperMesh you are using? HyperMesh 2019.1 for LS Dyna interface has new feature of transformation entity. Please share screenshot of the error you get for query 2.
  9. Could you please consider initial velocity for the base setup where you have time Vs accel.Transient initial conditions are defined using a TIC Bulk Data Entry. Initial displacements and initial velocities can be defined. This should help you to avoid drift in the displacement plot and get oscillating plot.
  10. The reasons for non-convergence can be as follows: No solution available for the set of assumed PDE (Examples: buckling and collapse, material flowing plastically) Error in the user input (Examples: Incorrect (often non-physical) FE data such as material, loading, contact definition and constraints etc) Check for any unconstrained rigid body modes See if the structure is properly constrained
  11. Currently description only talks about small displacement for this feature. But PARAM, EXPERTNL, YES applies to LGDISP as well.
  12. Please refer attached material. Stress_response_for_Topology_and_FreeSize.zip
  13. Can you give a try with time Vs disp instead of time Vs accel?
  14. Did you try applying any manufacturing constraints? Please refer below screenshot for suggested topology optimization problem formulation.
  15. Could you please share the .fem and .out file of the run of any simplified model with this issue?
  16. Did you specify damping in your model?
  17. Could you please try this in the latest version of Inspire 2019.3.
  18. You can define bolt connection and pretension directly in Inspire.Pretension can be enabled on a fastener or multiple fasteners by selecting them, enabling pretension in the Property Editor, and entering a pretension force. This pretension is then included as a load in all load cases. Which version of Inspire you are using?
  19. HyperWorks Student edition support import / export of Radioss and OptiStruct solver only. https://altairuniversity.com/altair-student-edition-limitations/
  20. Analysis page: Pressure (After entering pressure panel, just press H on keyboard and it should take you to the pressures panel help)
  21. You could refer to below video where presenter talk about simple beam with mathematical approach.(Topic covered from 14:00-20:00) Please refer free Optimization eBook /online tutorials and example guide for topology optimization. https://altairuniversity.com/free-ebooks/free-ebook-practical-aspects-of-structural-optimization-a-study-guide/
  22. For runtime improvements for multi-model optimization, you could use multilevel DDM. This is available for OptiStruct 2017.2.3 version or higher. Refer online help for more details. New – mmo/ddm: np = 16, nt=2
  23. Please apply load as equation. Refer online hep for details.
  24. Currently this is not supported. With OptiSruct version 2019.1, we added support for Viscoelastic material & creep material. We will let you know once this feature is available.
