    Just to make everyone aware that these kind of multiple curve operation no longer needs MVPToolbar.
     
    They are available in the core product itself.
     
    Just select all your curves and RMB.

    To get the forces (for specific nodes) , can you try using the FBD tool in HV. You would need to have an op2 result file to visualize the same. You could even punch out the forces as a csv file.

    For new users, here's a simple STEP assembly of a solid welded block, with a round bar the user can attached as desired.   With just four bodies, this assembly is a good way to practice and add to your skills.   They are simple enough to try different techniques joining the bodies, or even b oolean. 
     
    Here's an image on my practice model.   The loop weld is joined to the base, block joined to the weld, and solid rod joined by MPC connection.   The block is not joined by mesh to the base, as in the real welded part.   The resulting stresses are shown for the same h3d file, for 2019.3 (left) and 2019.2 (right).   There appears to be some difference in how the stresses are displayed for the two versions, but the queried stress is the same.

    Hi Darad,
     
    This is pros & cons. I also feel the same like you when start to use SOLUTIONS browser.
    I think Solutions Browser is easier for new users. Secondly, it sounds SL want to do more (thermal, cfd, EM), rather than only mechanical. Then Load & Constraints may be conflicted and difficult to do automation. Now I am learning python script and found this may be useful.

    Further questions should be directed to our Multi-body dynamics forum.  Note that modeling belt-pulley systems is rather challenging and can be computationally expensive.

    The contact stablilization energy is the energy dissipated/absorbed by contact stabilization. The strain energy as well as contact stab energy are total energy variables from start to current iteration, so cumulative.Curves are useful to check accuracy of model with contact stab.

    If the node is common among different parts and you get an average value by part.If you select the option in contour panel average across component boundaries you will get one single value then you will just need to check the remove duplicates in the query panel.

    Either the PSOLID or PLSOLID Bulk Data Entry can be used to reference the MATHE Bulk Data Entry.

    As mentioned above this is available with OptiStruct 2019.1 version.
    In OptiStruct the MATVE bulk data entry defines the material properties for Viscoelastic materials.
    MATVE is only supported for Small displacement nonlinear static and transient analysis.& Solid elements both first and second order (CHEXA,CTETRA,CPENTA,CPYRA) are currently supported.Let me know if you need the demo file for same.

    If you are a commercial customer then please upgrade to HW Desktop 2019.1 (hotfix is 2019.1.1)and for solvers OptiStruct 2019.1 (hotfix is 2019.1.1)

    Time varying convection
    Convection coefficients can be specified as time-dependent when a control node (CNTRLND) is specified on CONV card. The control node must be constrained by an SPCD, which is made time dependent by TLOAD1/TLOAD2. The convection coefficient is multiplied by the value from SPCD of control node.
