Hi! I cannot see the mass of my resulting (final iteration) design space. I see the mass of the volume fraction response, but I also don't see that this response changes through iterations. I made a constraint on volume fraction and put an upper bound to 0.5 of the initial volume. From what I read on one of your tutorials, this means that the solver is constrained to go under this value of volume fraction. How can I measure the mass of the final iteration? Thank you, I've put the forces and the moments in different collectors and different loadsteps, but now I'm getting this error: *** ERROR # 2148 *** Invalid design problem. All the sensitivities of response 2 (objective) are zero. And I also have this warning: *** WARNING # 1955 Static Loadcase 2 has zero static force vector. This typically produces zero solution and zero compliance. Loadcase 2 is the moments loadcase, and the response with id 2 is a response of total compliance. I'm getting this error: A fatal error has occurred during computations: *** ERROR # 312 *** In static load case 1 the compliance is negative or large 1.33184e+018. Optimization/buckling analysis cannot be performed. due to possible rigid body mode. INFEASIBLE DESIGN (AT LEAST ONE CONSTRAINT VIOLATED). I'm thinking is a problem of units, but I have controlled very carefully all units. I've used: tonne, mm, N, Nmm, MPa in all steps. Thank you. What I meant by putting loads in different collectors is that I have two sets of loads applied in two different components (each component is subject of forces and moments), so I created 3 load collectors, one for each component and the third one for the constraints. So, should I put the forces and the moments in different load collectors for each component or I can put all the forces together even if they are applied in different parts? Then, I have to make the Load Steps... Again, should I put two load steps for each case, or I can make only one load collector and only one load step? Where can I read about the card images? I see there are a lot but I don't know when to use them.

Hi, How do I assign in the property collector that it is a design volume or a non-design volume? and also, do I have to put loads in different collectors?
7. ## Error 1000

Thank you for your answer. I believe I did that correctly; and I don't have that "error 1000" problem anymore. However I don't know if I'm missing something or if something I already did is wrong, because I don't get the results I want, I mean, I don't see the "optimization". I'm new to this software and I'm trying to learn as fast as I can. Previously I was applying the constrains and the forces to the non-design components. These components are not meshed, since I read that it is not necessary to mesh the non-design space. When I did that, I had the "error 1000", so I decided to associate the non-design components to the nodes they have around. This is how I got the solver to run without error. However, I don't see that the software performs an optimization so obviously I'm missing something. What I want to do is minimize the mass of my structure and maximize its stiffness. The material is aluminum, I assigned the properties in the material card and then assigned this material in the properties card. Then, in each component of my structure, I assigned the respective property. I put the loads and the constraints in the nodes of my non design space, but again I don't know if I put them correctly.
