  1. Hi i need to work with symmetry model for simplify the model. I've imported the geometry already simmetric on one plane. What kind of constrains do i have to use for the simmetry? Are the morph constrains? Thank you very much
  2. Hi, sorry the 3D elements are tetra. Thank you very much for the advice. With this control card are the results realistic? Ok i try with your advice and the simulation doesn't crash. But the problem is that the part with the not correct mesh is not analyzed by the program: the assembly is composed by three parts, every part is connected with the countact surfaces. One part is the hub, and this is the part with the not corrected mesh. So i didn't resolve the problem, what can i do?
  3. Hi i need to simulate a wheel hub of a formula SAE with a 3D mesh but i have a problem with the element quality check. The hub has a diameter of 120 and a depth of 85 mm. I try with differents element size, differents minimum element size and other methods but the problem still remains and the simulation crashes every time. Are there any ideal parameters to mesh it? Remember that the geometry is very complex. Thank you very much!
  4. Thank you very much for your video, but i have a question. If i see it right you do only 3d elements, so in this way the solid hasn't a surface upper and lower. My objective is create a solid with 3d mesh and create a 2d mesh for the laminate externally the core. But i don't know how to connect the 3d mesh with the 2d mesh, by the way Do i obtain the same results in this way? There is the file. The flaps of the wing are full of foam, and externally will be there the plies. Thank you
  5. Ok i see with check elements that the mesh is very bad. But i have this problem: the component is wide more than 1 m, but the struss structure has a thickness of 0.7 mm. So i can't do a mesh with element size too big, but if i do a mesh with element size too small the program crashes. What can i do? I share with you the piece.

  8. Hi, i'm working with a truss structure with 3d printing material for an aerodynamic device in formula sae. For the internal parts i need to works with thickness lower than 1mm: i import the IGES in hyperworks and the program changes the geometry in some regions, i think because the thickness is too much low. What else can i do? Are there other ways to do it? Thank you very much
  9. I created the 2d mesh on the section, create 3d>drag and i obtained the model in the image. When i start the simulation i have this error *** ERROR # 2372 *** No PSHELL properties exist in the bulk data But i take PSOLID as property. Why this happens? I don't understand Thank you very much for your time. Finally i did it, i forgot to delete the 2D elements. Thank you

  11. Sorry but i never did this process because i've always worked with composites with 2D automesh. I don't understand, how can i create the 2D mesh only on one section? Can you explain me with more detail? Thank you
  12. Hi i have to study the displacement on a tube. I need 3d mesh because i have to choose the material. I have as material MAT1 and as property PSOLID (i don't want PSHELL). The problem is that when i selected the surfaces with "bounding surfaces" it doesn't transform in solid because " no closed volume found". This is one image of the tube. What else can i do?
