  1. Hi, I'm using Optistruct and working on a flat 2D model. I'm trying to change the direction of the force from underneath to above. I can't see the sign you speak of. Thanks
  2. Hey guys, I'm applying a force in the Z-axis direction but it's coming up the wrong way, is there a way to change the direction? (down rather than up?) Thanks in advance
  3. Heya, Up until now I've only been meshing 2D structures, and have always used PSHELL. Now I need to run an analysis on two objects (below). One is 3mm sheet steel, the other a hollow pipe. Should I use PSOLID for the sheet steel, and PTUBE for the pipe? Thanks!
  4. Hey guys, I'm trying to select the backplate to perform a topology optimisation on it, but can't figure out how to do it. Am I on the right lines? Thanks
  5. So does Hypermesh use SI units?
  6. Hey guys, I was just wondering what units Hypermesh uses for force? Is it Newtons? Also, does anyone know the meaning of the Uniform Size? It has that option for constraints as well... Thanks!
  7. Thanks very much Rahul! Where can I find the rotate function? EDIT Ah no worries! I think I've figured it! Thanks so much
  8. I'm trying to define them so they run at a 45 degree angle but can't figure out how to do it
  9. Thank you, how does one define a local coordinate system?
  10. Hey guys, I'm trying to apply a force at 45 degrees to either edge but can't figure out how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've attached an image, the arrow in red is what I want! Thanks
