  1. Hi, Actually, I am able to do in that way. For example, with the first mesh I had the following pressure loads: PLOAD4 1 3210001 0.00079 PLOAD4 1 3210002 0.00082 PLOAD4 1 3210003 0.00079 All loads (positive and negative) are perpendicular to the original mesh. I am able to remap those pressures to the new mesh, being the end result the following: PLOAD4 101 10000116.4766-4 + + 0-.283875.8665895.4104112 PLOAD4 101 10000105.9349-4 + + 0-0.27855.8736424.3989474 PLOAD4 101 10000096.0673-4 + + 0-.283721.8694421.4044413 The vectors define the orientation of the loads. The problem is that, due to the differences in the mesh, some loads don't stay perpendicular to the elements. If I could convert the loads while mantaining the original format, the negative loads would not need the orientation vector to define them, and just the signal at the beginning of the load would be suficient to define.
  2. Hello, In the model I am working on, I have several loadcases with different pressure load distributions. I had to remesh the surface I was working on and now I have a more coarse mesh with different element ids. How can I use the loads applied in the previous mesh and adapt them to the new mesh?
  3. When I check the element cards of the cfasts, they do not mention these axis systems, and when I export the model in bdf and open it, these axis systems are not referred in any element, or property. Is this only a graphical problem?

  5. In the pictures below, I created a ocnnection between the upper, middle and lower components. In the spot options i selected "2 sys per layer" and "use normal direction of the closest element to determine links". In the first connection, the systems don't have the same Y direction. But, after performing the connection between the middle and lower components, the first connection is corrected (both systems have the same Y direction), but that does not happen for the second one.

Hello, When creating cfasts using the following command: 1D > connectors > spot > type CFAST ELEM (GA-GB) I select all the nodes imported from the cad model, then I select all the components of the model. This creates all the cfasts but, when viewing them in 1D Detailed Element Representation, some show the orientation axis, while others show the detailed representation. Is this because the connectors are not alligned correctly? How can I correct the orientation? Thanks for your help. N.
  8. Hi Pranav Exactly. I use that command for attached elements. For this case however, I would need to do a script. The problem is that I do not know at the moment, how to transform the idea into the script.
  9. Hello, When a list of nodes is imported to a meshed model, is there a way to find what elements are near each imported node, given a certain tolerance? If so, how to select and export these elements? Thanks for your help. Regards, N.
  10. Hello Yes I did. For a small number of fasteners (less than 100) it is doable to use that command. If the number of fasteners increases, checking this process is more prone to error. I have the following script. CREATE_CFAST_BY_LINE_V01.tcl By intersecting fastener vector lines with the parts' surfaces, the nodes and fasteners are created. The problem is that it needs the surfaces to be in one component, the mesh in another and the lines in another. Again, for a small model, it is doable, but scalling up, with 30/40 components, it is not. What is your opinion? How could I improve this? Thanks for your help. Regards, N.
  11. Hello, I am trying to automate a task and need some guidance. In a model with various components, I have the guide points of the fasteners. Some fasteners connect more than two components. I am looking to create the connectors automatically by selecting the points and export the connectors' information (cfast id and coordinates, attached elements). The final goal is to create automatically more than 8000 fasteners and extract their information, in order to use them for fastener analysis. Thanks for your help N.
