  1. Hi Q,Nguyen-Dai, attached are some pictures of the model in analysis. In particular I have been shown better images depicting the pins discussed above. Thanks in advance for the help.
  2. Hi everybody, I am a mechanical engineering student and I’m doing a project for a skid steer loader. In particular I am studying the structural analysis of arm in the severe operative conditions. This analysis includes, in addition to the arm, bucket (where is apply the force) and two other bodies with which the arm is connected to the frame. To define the connection between the bodies I decided to make the hinges by contact with the pins. This contact has been achieved using the contact surface type slide. The analysis target is to determine the resistance of arm and pins. Said this I would like to know I can optimize that analysis? Especially how can I improve the analysis on the pins? Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. Thank you so much George P Johnson.
  4. Hi guys. I just started using Hypermesh student edition and I have to carry out a CFD analysis for a University exam. I tried to make a 3d mesh of a component by Solid Map (after making the surface mesh). So at first I used the trim tool to trim a symmetric component and then I made a 2-D quad mesh (because I have to use a hexa mesh for solid). Then I just made the 3D mesh on the trimmed surface. To get the mesh of the second half of the component I used Geometry>Reflect>Elems. I therefore wonder if the mesh thus obtained is connected or if the two halves are not connected to each other. I share my model hoping someone can help me. Best regards. Mesh.hm
  5. Thank you so much for your assistance.
  6. I can't open the link that you have posted
  7. Thank you so much for the quick reply but the browser cannot open the link
  8. yes i could piano_mesh3D.hm
  9. the top surface is not Planar, it has errors form
  10. the shared file is a picture of the model, the extension is TIFF
  11. Good morning I have a discretized model as in the attached figure, how can I export the geometry of the upper surface? Can you explain it step by step? Thanks in advance for your assistance dainviare.tifdainviare.tif
  12. Thank you so much for the assistance but the contact force is a force. I would like to know the contact pressure. Also I would like to know a method to determine the contact area.
  13. I understand, but my question is what is the unit of measurement of contact force? Because I need to have the contact pressure in MPa.
  14. Thank you very much George P Johnson, I did as you said. In that unit of measure returns me the contact force? Thanks in advance for assistance.
