  1. Hello Prakash, I am having the same problem. Got any solutions for this? Thanks
  2. Thats right, loads/BCs rotate with elements. Thank you very much!
  3. I would like to rotate a meshed component with all the BCs/forces attached to it. Is that possible in Hypermesh? Thanks.
  4. Hello, I would like to model thermoforming process of continuous fiber composites. Is this possible in HyperForm, and if so, what material models are available? Also, what experimental tests do I need for the material model? Thank you
  5. Great! thanks. I wonder where you found this file? I looked at everywhere, all downloads, all folders in the installation folder but not able to locate it.
  6. Hello, I am trying to perform the analysis described in HF-3090: Composite Forming Simulation but I cannot find the file. I even downloaded the files on Altair Connect but it is not there. Can someone send me forming_userprocess.hf file? Thanks
  7. Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to convert Radioss-block format to LS-Dyna format? I have a crash test and would like to convert it to Dyna but it seems like only conversion to Optistruct and Pamcrash are available. Thanks.
  8. Well, I mean I want to have the same mesh on the solid surface as well. Can I do that using this projection method? I actually tried it but it does nothing for my case.
  9. Thanks for your prompt answer. After splitting the region and 2D meshing the shell, how can I project this mesh onto the solid?
  10. Hello, I have two components one of which is a shell and the other is a solid. Some protion of the shell surface overlaps with one face of the solid. Both have very complex shapes. How can I have the same mesh on the overlapping surfaces and connect these shell and solid elements? this is analogous to a plastic sheet (shell) reinforced by a thick layer of foam (solid). It will be great if it is possible to mesh the shell first and then the solid. Thanks
  11. Thank you very much. I will work on it and let you know if I have more questions.
  12. Well, this is a crush test (not crash) and the inertial forces are negligible. This is just a simplified version of my model, which has several other parts in contact. I guess I can still use RADIOSS explicit but I need to know how to do mass scaling (since the loading rate is small (small time step), simulation will take a lot of time to complete). Can you provide any info about mass scaling? Thanks
