  1. Hi Prakash, I wonder how I can get this tutorial for fatigue analysis? Thanks, Soraya
  2. Thank you @Prakash Pagadala. Yes I can export the lattice or the design space. Would you please explain me how I can extract surface from the non-design space? Thanks again, Soraya
  3. Hi, I need to convert my optimization result to a 3D CAD model for 3D printing. The model is divided into design and non design spaces. When I export the model, only design space is converted. How I can convert the whole model into CAD model. When I try to export the solver deck as .stl file, there is not .stl file option available. I appreciate if someone can help. Thanks, Soraya
  4. Thank you very much Prakash, But I still have problem. The results that I'm getting in Cylindrical coordinate system are exactly the same as Cartesian system. I assume they must be different. Do you know why this is happening? Thank you. Regards, Soraya
  5. Hi, I have a solid cylinder and I need to get the stress results in cylindrical coordinate systems. I already defined a cylindrical coordinate system, but I don't know how to assign it to the elements. I appreciate if someone can help me with this problem. Thank you, Soraya
  6. I need to define a response to sum up the stress values of all the elements in a component. What is the best way to do it? How the design equation should be defined? Thanks, Soraya
  7. Thank you Prakash. I realized how to solve my problem. Best, Soraya
  8. Thank you Prakash. I just wonder if you know that if it is possible to define a constraint for strain energy in optimization by optistruct?
  9. Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to convert a solid part into a lattice structure without any optimization. In my analysis, I am considering a cylinder which it has an outer layer made of lattice. To perform the analysis, I want to have a lattice structure in outer surface. so would it be possible to model a lattice part in Hyperworks? Thank you, Soraya
  10. Thank you Prakash. I do have strain energy as my output. But I don't know how to use this script to get what I want? Is there any more explanation about how it works? Thanks,
  11. I need to find the total strain energy of each component in my FEA model. Is there any tutorial about it?
  12. Is it possible to run a multiobjective optimization in Optistruct?
  13. Hi,

I just wonder if you could solve your problem about how to run optistruct externally from MATLAB?

Since I have the same problem and I couldn't find the solution.

I appreciate if you can help me about it.

    Regards,

    Soraya

  14. Is there any way to call a Hypermesh model from MATLAB? Is there any interface for them. I need to use my FEA model which is a Hypermesh model in an Optimization MATLAB code. How I can recall it in MATLAB? Thanks,
  15. Hi Prakash, Thank you for the help. But the spot can be either weld or gap. I can create the spot but I don't know how to use it for the gap elements. I appreciate if you can give me some ideas about how to work with the spot.
