  1. Hello, I shared two separate files. One is with shell mesh the other is with solid mesh. 600_Sogutma_v6_Solid.fem ver01.fem
  2. Hi Prakash Pagadala, I need to use temperature-dependent material properties on a composite material composed of two layers. Analysis scenario is such that the composite structure is cooling down from an elevated temperature down to room temperature. Are there any way to use MATT1 and PCOMP property? I am using shell elements to represent the structure. I tried to run the analysis and take the following error: *** ERROR # 7992 *** PROGRAMMING ERROR in TABLEM gtfrtabled ioerr(1) = 2146697216 ioerr(2) = 4 Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi, I am trying to do an analysis on a enamelled sheet metal part, it is bimaterial. As initial condition, temperature is 350 celcius degrees and as final condition, temperature is 25 celcius degrees. So, I applied a temperature load. I used MATT1 and entered temperature dependent material properties in TABLEM1 format. I used PCOMP card to model the structure as composite. Materials (Steel and Enamel) are taken as isotropic materials so there is no ply orientation. When I start the analysis with Optistruct, the programme gives the following error message: ERROR 14: Missing property # 2 referenced by CQUAD4 # 1 What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Mert
  4. I tried to hide the elements out of interest and it didn't helped.
  5. Prakash, thanks for your reply. I erased the setting files as you pointed but the problem continues. We did same procedure in another computer but the segmentation error problem continues.
  6. Hi, I am doing a trimming operation on a part. After the forming operation, I used the .sta file and started to do the trimming process. I did much of the trimming but at the last step, I wanted to trim the part with the sloth shaped lines. Everytime I do the operation, Hyperform crashes with a segmentation error. I cleaned the temp file and restarted the computer but the problem didn't finished. Can anyone help we with this problem? You can see the sloth shaped trimming lines from photo below. Thank you in advance. Mert Cevdet Günay
  7. Hi, I want to make a correction. The problem I am defining above should be solved by Nonlinear Transient Analysis methods. Regards. Mert Cevdet Günay
  8. Prakash, thanks for your reply. I am actually trying to solve the problem not as a heat transfer but as a linear static analysis with temperature as the only variable. I want to define the cooling regimen as Temperature-Time graph and see the response of the bimaterial structure. Thanks Mert Cevdet Gunay
  9. Hello, I am working on a project to simulate the cooling phase in an enamelling process. I simply generated a composite cantilever beam with two different materials to obtain the stresses and displacements during cooling process. I will cool down the composite cantilever beam from an elevated temperature to room temperature. The problem is, I am new to thermal boundary conditions and I can't find the correct load collector combination to handle the problem. To summarize the simulation; 1. Structure is at 350 degrees celcius and it will cool down to 20 degrees celcius. 2. Due to thermal expansion coefficent difference, the composite beam will deform. Thanks in advance! 10. Hello, I am doing forming analysis of a sheet metal part. I modelled the process with Hyperform and solved it with Radioss. The simulation converged and gave me a result. The error percentage made me suspicious about the result. The error is 24.8%. Do you have any suggestions or any error range to make me rely on my results?
