  1. I'm working on a forming simulation. As shown in the picture there is a gap occuring in the corner areas of the forming diem which isn't there in experimental tryouts. I think it may have something to do with my materialparameters.

     

    So the plan is to run a optimization in Hyperstudy with my materialparameters as input variables and the distance between some nodes following this gap as output response.  By minimising the distance between these nodes the gap should be closed and my materialparameters should fit the real materialbehaviour. Currently I'm importing the design variables by parameterized .rad file (template .tpl)

     

    I hope this helps to understand my problem. Btw I'm fairly new to HyperStudy.

    towards the end of my simulation I'm always getting multiple errors regarding a negative area in some elements.

  3. Hi all,

     

    I want to Display a Contourplot of the Fiber Orientation using Hyperview. I found a documentation .PDF (HF-Training_Composite_Forming) on the Internet with a reference to a file called "Expression_builder_fiber_orientation.txt", but I don't know where to find this .txt file. The Expression in this .txt file seems to be pretty complicated.

     

    Does anyone know where to find this file or how to do a Contourplot of the Fiber Orientation in another way?

  4. Hi all,

     

    I want to model a spring with constant force over its elongation. In PROP/TYPE4 I tried to set H1=8, so I can insert a constant function in fctID11(which defines Force vs spring length). When I tried to start my simulation an error occured "Spring with null stiffness, K has to be bigger than 0". From my understanding I wouldn't need to define a K-Factor as it's already defined in fctID11..

     

    Any ideas on how to model a spring with constant force? Is it possible to give a function for the K-Factor?

  5. Hello Forums,

     

    I want to setup a composite forming simulation in Hyperform using the Multilayered approach but with resin in between the plies.

     

    On the forums I found the example from the attached .rad files, but I don't really understand how it is setup.. I always thought the multilayered approach uses one blank for one ply, in this example all plies seem to be combined in one single blank and the resin components showing in the Modeltab are not even included in the User Process Tab.

     

    I hope someone can give a short explanation or tutorial on how to properly setup the resinlayers in User Process.
