  2. Hi all, In my simulation model, I use the Rbe3 element to connect a temp node to a shell mesh. The Force is adding on this temp node. I can check the displacement of this temp node with id in hyperview. Now I would like to define the displacement of this temp node as response in hyperstudy, but it does not work. I could only choose grid nodes. Anybody has ideas?
  3. Hi George, thank your for your answer. Could you tell me why there is this problem? I know that it works if I choose the first half because there is only a simple suface. But for my working script it is not good method. And for your suggestion "ruled option", could you explain more ? Better with a picture of the command. Sorry I am freshman to Hypermesh.
  4. Hello, 1, when I create a surface throught lines, sometimes the surface is not according exactly the lines. I do not konw why there is this small change. How can the edge of surfaces be exactly accroding to lines? 2, I checked also the instruction of command *splinesurface entities mark plane_flag plane options *surfacesplineonlinesloop mark_id fill_gaps use_surfs options there are some options for this problem? Especailly for the option with Bit values, I do not know how to use it.
  5. Hi Tinh, this is the expection of the result. I could send you the start model and the end model I expect (I did it manually). I would like to write a script to convert the start model to the end model automatically. But till now all my ideas do not work very well.
  6. Mannully I can do it, but I would like a script to automatically get all the intersection point of geometry edge for a list of bars one by one. I have no idea. Anyone has good idea?

Hello, I have an optimization result based on 1-d beam (only nodes and 1d mesh beam), I would like to map it to 2d surface (like a section sketch of a real manufacturable part) and reanalyze it (the same load and constraints). (see picture). Better this process could be automatisch. Till now I am thinking of ideas: 1, use ossmooth, but I do not know how to create required .sh and .grid files? And this command can do this work? 2, write some script in hyperworks to convert 3, covert the .fem file with a program, and then return it back Dose someone have ideas on it? Or some comment to my ideas, which way is possible?

  9. hi Leox, Thank you for your answer. I just got the result of 1d optimization, and do not formally start my work. But the number of 1d elements should be not large. In your method, with your c++ code the fem file will be modified, and when you input it back to hypermesh, the 3d geometry is ready? Could you tell me your process? Because I would like to get a 2d geometry of optimization based on 1d beam, then modify it and mesh it to a new 2d model for calculation. If I use a cad software for the middle step, it seems that I cannot get a automatisch process. Now I am thinking of different ideas without help of a cad software. For example, Prakash above also mentioned the method with a script.
  10. Hi Leox, could you tell where are the information of 1d element geometry (coordinates or? ) in .fem file? I just found the coordinates of notes. I am trying mapping a 1d bar element to 2d element.
