  1. Dear @Q.Nguyen-Dai Here are the following details regarding the Hypermesh gui fails: 1. HyperMesh Version : All Versions ie 12.0 , 13.0, 14.0, 2017 2. OS : Windows7 (x64 bit) 3. Profiles : I am testing with all the profiles but issue is not any single profile specific. 4. "Click Something, responds with something else" : After I have changed profile (Menubar -> Preferences -> UserProfiles ) multiple times. After 8-10 times changing profile, Menubar is not working properly. When I click any of the button/option in menubar , the Buttons area in HyperMesh panel (ie just below the Graphic Window), starts responding on menubar clicks and opening something that I don't wan't to. I am also sorry to inform that, it won't be possible to share snapshots using my company domain. Regards Piyush
  2. Hello Developers, I need to confirm an issue persisting in Hypermesh (All Versions). Issue : When I am changing user profiles multiple times with the help of GUI provided by Hypermesh. There arises a case when this GUI behaves unexpectedly. After changing User profile for more than 8-10 times. The GUI starts behaving unexpectedly. (Click Something , It Responds with something else) None of the Button in Menu bar is working rather they are affecting/changing Buttons Area/Frame Area in GUI. Kindly, revert me with any information regarding this issue. Thanks in advance for your valuable time. Regards Piyush
  3. Yes , the lack in running script was due to streaming of Large Data to tkcon command window. It can be resolved by adding command like ;puts " " or ;puts ok in the same line (line which is slowing down the process). This would help not to display the whole data of previous command and the tcl variable can be easily populated with values (with no delay). Regards Piyush
  4. Hi @Q.Nguyen-Dai Thanks for your suggestion and help. Will keep it it mind from now. Regards Piyush
  5. Hi @tinh I am really thankful for your suggestion. It worked for me. Sorry to say but I cannot share tcl file content or any model content, as it is under confidential proprietory of Company. I just need to know using "::hwat::utils::CreateMark" can also work for such problems ? Regards Piyush
  6. Hi @tinh Graphic Card configuration : 2GB Nvidia I am running commands using Tcl File only ie I am creating script / macro. Your direction of tkcon buffer was really helpful. Its working in most of the cases which slows down my script execution in Hypermesh. @Q.Nguyen-Dai Sorry, but I can't share model, that's Confidential Property of Company. "Lakh" is a unit in the Indian numbering system equal to one hundred thousand (100,000; scientific notation: 105). I need to convey that Element Count in Model / No of Elements = 675000 Moreover, I got suggestion for using "::hwat::utils::CreateMark". This can also help ??? Thanks & Regards Piyush
  7. Hi @tinh, I have blocked updating "command.tcl" using "hm_commandfilestate 0". But still this thing is not working. My system configuration is : OS : Windows 7 (64-bit) Processor : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-1650v3 @3.50GHz Ram : 8.00 GB But still not working. Regards Piyush
  8. Hi, @tinh I have already tried deleting files in My Documents. The File size is not big (~ 1 KB only). But still the time taken is same and Hypermesh is going into not-responding state. Is there any other method to access HM database and get all elements of a component (Element Count > 6 Lakh) Thanks & Regards Piyush
  9. Hi, @Q.Nguyen-Dai Elements Count in component is more than 6 lakh (~ 6,75,000). @tinh I have tried with "hm_" commands also. But still the result is same. Either, I am using "*createmark elems 1 "by comp" $comp" or not, this command is not taking time. set all_component_elements [hm_getvalue comps name=$comp dataname=elements] ## This command anyhow is taking too much time (~50 minutes). I have tried other "hm_ " commands too , but no change. Thanks & Regards Piyush
  10. Hi, I am trying to get all elements of a component in a Tcl variable (Elements Count > 6 Lakh) and Hypermesh is taking too long (~ 1 hours) and ends with a not responding error message. eg. catch {unset all_component_elements}; hm_markclearall 1; hm_markclearall 2; *rejectclear; *clearmark elems 1 hm_markclear elems 1; *createmark elems 1 "by comp" $comp set all_component_elements [hm_getmark elems 1]; Is there any other method to retrieve these elements inside Tcl variables. I need to use this logic inside Tcl Script/Macro. Thanks in Advance, for help. Regards Piyush
  11. Dear @tinh I have tried hm_database access using threads, I am not able to access. Then, Child Thread can display a GUI, which keeps updating even with Long Calculations in Hypermesh ? I am not able to display GUI (eg. A button widget) using Child Thread in Hypermesh. Is this also possible ? Best Regards Piyush
  12. Dear @tinh 1. Import Geometry file in Hypermesh 2. This Step is Divided into 3 steps (using Multithreading) 2.1 eval *createmark elems 1 all; set 3d_elems [hm_getmark elems 1]; 2.2 eval *createmark elems 1 all; *findfaces elems 1; eval *createmark elems 2 "by collector name" "^faces"; set 2d_elems [hm_getmark elems 1]; 2.3 eval *createmark elems 1 $all ; *findedges elems 1 0; eval *createmark elems 1 "by collector name" "^edges"; set tempp [hm_getmark elems 1]; I need to complete this 2nd step using 3 child threads parallel. This is just an example, via which I need to do computations simultaneously. And I also wan't to display a GUI, which gets "not responding forever" while long computation again & again. I wan't the GUI to be active in this condition. Best Regards Piyush
  13. Dear @tinh and @Q.Nguyen-Dai, 1. I need to import a model and then extract its geometry in threads. Like I need to extract Faces , Edges & Elements in parallel threads to save time. 2. I also wan't to display a GUI, which goes into "not responding" loop while long calculations. So I want to display this GUI using one more parallel thread. (P.S. : Not able to Display GUI in threads using HM. Whenever I source my GUI file, it does not display any GUI, but in Main Thread, its working fine.) Is it possible with Hypermesh 2017 ? Thanks for help. Regards Piyush
  14. Hi, I am trying to implement Multi-threading in HM 2017 using TCL to compute faster results. Is it possible with HM2017 after adding Thread package to its tcl. Thanks in Advance, for help. Regards Piyush
