  4. Hello, This is what we are trying to achieve, We are trying to analyze the failure of a forging die of a flange. The stationary die got cracked during the operation. So we are trying to find out a solution for the same. We are planning to use Altair HyperWorks to simulate this event. Details of corresponding die:- Die Material - DIN 2714 Hammer - 16 tonnes(42000 kgf) Flange material - Titanium- 6Al-4V Flange temperature - 870-950°c. Request your help in suggesting,on how we can achieve this in Altair HyperWorks...

But in our case the work piece which is hitting the die , deforms to the flange shape and then the impact load is distributed to die. so in this case, the normal impact load may not be applicable directly to the die, since the force is first transmitted to the work piece and then to the die. so how can we solve this ?????????
