    Hi Burner2k

Please change the format GPFORCE to output2 as shown below.

Then in HyperView load .fem and .op2 file as shown below. Set Result-Math template to Advanced.

    Thank you

    Hi Alucard

I have created a video showing how to mesh .stl model. Please refer to this video. If you still face any problem, please let me know.

    Hi albertolazzeri,

By looking at these images, i think you don't need inner sphere and those extended cylinders. What ever you have meshed, only those components are enough.

and i also see that you have not assigned properties to the components. Make sure you assign proper properties to the components and then run the optimization.

    Thank you

    Hi

I think I found the problem:

I used solid45 and fluid30 for the simulation. These two elements do not have a pyramid option. So when transport HM mesh to ANSYS, all these elements will be gone.

    Thank you anyway.

It's because, whole model is still in one component. After trimming, if you want to hide trimmed section, goto mask panel and mask it.

    Thank you

Thanks for the advices, I'm already trying to follow the ebook but sometimes external suggestions are useful to avoid wrong choices.
The example you told me  is what I need.

    Hi again
    @Premanand Suryavanshi
I tried to resolve the issue with simple model and I meshed the inner surface as well. in following I adopted linear solid mapping as shown in figure 1 and found it useful with settling issue (figure 2).
Many thanks for your considered time and your extreme guidance.
    Sincere thanks again
    Good luck and blessed

    Hi Navid,

Please try as shown in below image.

Also, i'm attaching the file, where i have meshed for two sections as shown above. Follow the same.

You need to move the elements to the new components using Organize panel in the Tool page. Then, you assign respective properties to the new components.

I fount the solution. It seems like when the property is applied the directions change to zero degrees in the visual representation, but during the analysis the theta is taken into account.

    Hi

Please, goto control cards > Global output request > Select Stress output > for Type select All as shown below. Then, run the analysis.

    Thank you

    Hi Samorit

Please select All for type of stress output in global output request as shown below and run the analysis.

In HyperView you can see shear xy as option as shown below.

If it is a plane stress condition, it will only show shear stress in one plane (Shear in XY or XZ or YZ).

    Thank you
  16. Mrt liked a post in a topic by Premanand Suryavanshi in Meshing only the void volume of an existing mesh
    Hi Dakshitha

You can separate the fibers from liquid/rubber using Boolean operation and then retrieve only liquid/rubber material and mesh it separately.
Please follow below post for reference

  17. James Kim liked a post in a topic by Premanand Suryavanshi in Element stress
Maximum stress generated is 13 mpa. Yield strength of a member is 350 mpa. This means the member is safe and can take more load.

Yes, for more accurate result you can refine mesh and check.

    Thank you

Goto Tool page > Organize panel > Select the elements > set the destination to new component (Component 2) and click move.

Try splitting up the model into two CAD models and try importing one after the other in HyperMesh.

    Hi Sid98,

Since you know the max stress value, you can use that value as a constraint (use upperbound to constraint stress) and define your Objective as Minimize Mass.
For more information please refer our Optimization-Guide. Follow the below link.
