    HyperCrash .dll Error

    Hi Prakash, Here are my machine details: Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5530 @ 2.40GHz (2 Processors) Installed memory (RAM): 36.0 GB System type: 64-bit operating system Now, the hc.exe file is actually running but I am trying to run a batch file attached below. When I run it I in command prompt I am getting an error as shown in the figure below. Could you please tell me how the error can be dealt with? try.bat

    HyperCrash .dll Error

    Hello Prakash, I tried reinstalling but to no use. I am still getting the same error as mentioned above when I try to launch the hc.exe file. Please let me know how to solve this problem. I have Hyperworks desktop version 2017.2 and solver version 2017.2 installed on my system. Also, HwDesktop Hotfix 2017.2.2 and HwSolver Hotfix 2017.2.3 installed. Thank-you in advance for your help!

    HyperCrash .dll Error

    Hello Prakash, I am facing the same problem. I want to run Hypercrash from command prompt and when I try to do that, I get an error saying 'The program can't start because libgdk-win32-2.0-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem'. I am working with Hyperworks V 2017.1. Should I reinstall 2017.1 or install the latest version to resolve the issue? Thanks for your help in advance!

    Die velocity as a variable in Hyperstudy

    Hello Rahul, Thank-you for your response. I could parameterize the die velocity by writing some templex statements in the .rad file imported in the Editor in Hyperstudy. I am attaching a picture of the templex statements written to generate the velocity-time function The picture on the right shows the templex statements written in order to make changes in the curve shown in the picture on the left. I am using Radioss and Hyperstudy version 2017.1. Since I could solve the query, I am not attaching the .rad file here. But I had another question about Hyperstudy. I want to add two models to Hyperstudy. Both have RADIOSS as solver. I want to use parameters from the first model as inputs and optimize a parameter from the second model. Can this be done? I have not yet setup these models in Hyperstudy so I don't have any files to attach. Kindly let me know if this can be done. Thank-you for your help in advance!

    Die velocity as a variable in Hyperstudy

    Hello, As I mentioned in the last post, I want to change the die travel velocity and study its effect on the quality of a formed part. I understand that I need to use a parameterized file model to setup a study in Hyperstudy. I tried to parameterize the velocity (-5000 as can be seen in figure above) and did just a nominal run taking velocity as -6000. The changed value appeared in the .rad file generated for the nominal run but the run did not progress after about 14 animation files were written. I am not sure if my approach is right. Do I need to write any templex statements in order to make this work? Do I need to replace the values of the IMP_curve-die.1 (please see figure above) using templex statements? I really need to understand this. Kindly help me by giving your valuable guidance and suggestions. Thank-you in advance for your help! Madhura
  11. Hello, I am trying to perform optimization of a parameter in forming process. I performed a forming analysis in Hyperform using Incremental radioss solver. Then I used this .rad file in order to setup a study in Hyperstudy. I want to use Die velocity as a variable for the optimization study which is shown in the figure below- I created a parameter for the Die Velocity in Hyperstudy from the .rad file as shown below- Then I performed a nominal run where the setup was run for the current, upper and lower limit value of the created Die Velocity parameter. Hyperstudy ran successfully for the current value of Die velocity, then it changed the value from -5000 to -6000 as expected in the .rad file generated for the next run but did not complete the run for a very long time. I had to stop the run. I do not understand how I can use Die velocity as a parameter in the Optimization setup in Hyperstudy. Kindly help me with this difficulty. Thank-you in advance for your help! So as I have already mentioned I want to use the results (residual stresses) obtained from forming analysis and set up a static linear analysis on the stamped part. I am attaching below a .fem file. I want to perform such or similar linear static analysis but the most important part is I want to include the stamping residual stresses and strains. Could you kindly guide me on how to perform this analysis in radioss? Thank-you in advance for your reply! part1_complete.fem
  14. Hi George, I understand that static analysis in Radioss for an implicit case may not converge. So can I interface with Abaqus software to perform the static analysis? Assuming that I have exported deck file (_0000.rad, _0001.rad, .sta) from Hypercrash, how I can import it into Abaqus retaining the residual stresses from stamping?   15. Hi George, Thankyou for your reply. The (_0000.rad) file that I exported from hypercrash after mapping the stamping results, does not contain the initial states as can be seen in the image above. The initial states are actually present in another .sta file. Now if I want to import the .sta file as an include file in Optistruct, how can I do that?
