  1. Great, that solved the error. Can you please shortly explain what is the difference between both element types ? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi everyone, I'm running a composite analysis using the property PCOMPP. I get the following error I have checked many times that the property is defined and assigned properly, anyone has any ideas on how to solve this? I have attached the .hm file for you to check. 4.Run.hm
  3. Hi all, I am using VWT to run a CFD analysis on a prototype vehicle. I have attached a picture below to show the model. I have the model meshed using HM. I have already ran CFD successfully before, however, this is the first time I add the wheels to simulate their rotation. The analysis works fine and takes around 20 mins to reach 80 percent, and then stays at 80 percent for hours. I have attached the text files in the run directory, I have checked them and couldn't find an error, however, I might be missing something. vwtAnalysis.1.Log vwtAnalysis.1.MeshSim.txt wheels_2nd_try.stmod
  4. I going through an optimization and I want to split bodies to design and non design spaces. When I use the "trim with lines" tool and select sweep all, the part is trimmed with the contact surface in yellow, however when I specify a length for the sweep, that does not go through all the body, the part is trimmed with the contact surface colored in red. I have seen in a tutorial that yellow is a shared contact surface, which is what I need, so I guess red means the trimmed body will be free which will make it unusable. I was wondering how can I solve this issue ?? I attached 2 screenshots where the first the sweep goes through all the body, the second one it goes only third of the way.
  5. Yup that did it, did not occur to me to adjust the options from SolidWorks itself, because in Solidworks you have Save As instead of Export. Thank you so much for your help it has been very useful.
  6. Same, no sketches imported. I tried Solidowrks, iges and step.
  7. We import parts from SolidWorks 2016 to analyze with HyperMesh Studen Edition 2018. The geometry is imported properly, however the sketches are not imported. For example if I draw a circle on a face of a part, when I import the geometry I get the part but the circle sketch is not imported. I have seen in many tutorials people importing geometry that includes sketches. Is there something I can do in HyperMesh or SolidWorks to be able to import thses sketches ? For example I want HyperMesh to import this part with the highlighted sketch.
