  1. Hello I design a phased array patch antenna that has pin fed architecture. I have 2 issues with the design: 1. These is an error with some of the regions: "setting ambiguous,: Unable to merge medium" 2. When i try to add additional excitation wave guide ports, the new ports reflection coefficient is 1 What can be the reason for these issues? Attached the design files. Thanks in advance.   3. Hello When I try to run a parallel function as part of FEKO solver I get the following error: The following message from the master process (MYID= 0): ERROR 3472: Unable to open the input file The PC configuration is i7-7600 laptop with 16 GB RAM. What can be the reason for this error? Thanks.

  5. Hello Following my question above, I have found a white paper prepared by Altair some time ago (attached) that describes a problem that is close to mine. How do I prepare a graph of phase error as function of antenna azimuth and elevation angles, similar to figure #8 in this attached white paper? Thanks. Hello I have constructed 4 quadrants patch antenna (4 patches) in FEKO that is part of the radar system and it is intended to measure the received signal phases differences between each patches pair. How is it possible to construct a simulation in FEKO where a pointing source will illuminate these 4 patches and extract phase information out of each phase based on the received signal by each patch?
  7. Hello I have constructed a 18X18 linear planar array and it works fine. However when I have added a radome to simulate this array behavior in presence of radome, the radome model has been multiplied by 18 as well. How can I cancel this radome multiplication due to linear planar array definitions? Attached the model files. Thanks Patch Array.zip
  8. Hello I have designed 2 patch antennas that behave quite well in FEKO. Then I put them on the aircraft 3D model and try to mesh the A/C model at desired frequency that is several GHz. The amount of meshed elements on the A/C body is about 6 millions and solver is not capable of solving it, since its stacked in its first step for several hours What are possible ways to overcome this issue?
  9. Hello I have meant above that I want to round the substrate and not the patches. Nevertheless I have done it using CAD SW tool and then have imported it back (the substrate) to FEKO and redefined its parameters and it works. Now I want to duplicate my antenna (have 2 identical antennas in same FEKO design) in order to calculate a coupling between them. Since the antenna substrate now is a primitive object, I have a difficulty to move it. How can I solve this issue? Thanks.
  10. Hello I have solved the symmetry issues stated above and have proceed with the design. Now I want to round the 4 substrate corners by the radius of 6.35 mm to better simulate the antenna. How can I do that? I attach the latest design. Your assistance is highly appreciated.   12. Hello I have fixed the edges and applied the symmetry. The antenna radiation pattern on Y (V) plane is still non symmetric. I attach the updated model and the radiation pattern picture.   15. Hello I am trying to simulate a patch antenna that consists from 2 patches and should work on 4.3 GHz center frequency. For some reasons The Y (V) antenna pattern cut is not symmetric. The X (U) cut is symmetric and VSWR value looks ok. Attached the antenna design data. I kindly request your assistance to find out the reason for this symmetry issue.
