  3. Thank you Rahul, but as I said I know it doesn't take any default value. I'm trying to figure it out if the program calculates a G12 from given E1, E2, nu12 values? And if it does what method it uses? I only gave the mentioned three parameters (E1, E2, nu12) but the simulation run succesfully.
  4. Hi, I've made a composite model using MAT8 material. I've run an analysis without filling the G12 field and got results despite. My question is what value does the program use for G12 if you left it blank? I assume it uses something as there is no Default value according to the Reference Guide, but I couldn't find anything on this topic. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I'm wondering if there's a difference in the global results of modeling for example a composite T junction with sublaminates or without sublaminates (in this case there will be some overlapping at the junctions). I understand that the one with sublaminates represents the real piece better, but on a complex model it is more time consuming to model every junction.   6. Hi, what is the best way to define the composite ply orientation on a complex surface? As you can see on the pictures below the orientation on the top of the rounded surface is good, but at the edges (at the side of the round surface) the orientation is different from the original. If we want to represent the real life orientation what is the best option we have? Thanks in advance!

Hi, I have a question regarding HyperMesh Drape Estimator: If I run the Drape Estimator on a specific ply it shows how the fiber orientation becomes different from the original orientation (which I specified earlier). How can I use the estimated fiber orientation for later analyses instead of the original one? Does HyperMesh uses this new orientation from now on or do I need to request it somewhere?
