  1. Hi Adrian, In the Altair tire entity, under properties, you can enter different road profiles. Try including the pothole road there and run the Straight Line Braking as usual. Best regards, Felipe.
  2. Hello Yuvaraj, The joint friction is dependent on the geometry that the joint is connected. Please take a look at the online help for more information about joint friction and how to enter the proper friction parameter based on your geometry dimensions. https://connect.altair.com/CP/SA/hwhelp/2019.1/ms/topics/solvers/ms/xml-format_61.htm Best regards, Felipe.
  3. Hello Francesca, From a table you can use this option and open a .csv or .txt file. From the Step you can enable CAD feature recognition under Tool--> Option --> Build Model and select points or directly joints using the CAD features. Best regards, Felipe.
  4. Hello, Your model has failed in the static analysis. Nothing else can be said with the information provided. If you can add more information on what you are doing and send the model we can try to help you here. Best regards, Felipe.
  5. Hi Luca, That is not an usual error. There is something corrupted in your installation. Can you try reinstall it to see if the problem is gone? Best regards, Felipe.
  6. Hi Laura, You can merge the bodies in MV keeping only the necessary components to represent your system. For instance, parts represented on the CAD like bolts, bearings, welds, etc do not need to be represented in your simulation. Therefore it is either recommended to group it in one single body or delete them. Best regards, Felipe.
  7. Hi Sudhanshu, If you are only analyzing forces on the body, either fem or cad file will do the work. They are only used in the graphic entities for visualization purpose. Regards, Felipe.
  8. Hi Adrian, Looking at this message only without knowing the model is not possible to identify the error. Does MS write a .h3d animation? Did you check if it is ok during statics? When changing the hard points, did you keep the symmetry making sure left and right are correct? Maybe you could upload the model. Best regards, Felipe.
  9. Hi Tetoldini, The axle is an external CAD and it is not parametrized with the MV model. Changing the wheel center points will not change the axle length, only the track width. What you could do is scale it using the graphic panel. In the same way if you want to move the axle you need to change its location in the origin option. Best regards, Felipe.
  10. Hello Felipe, The advanced driver cannot be edited as the other systems. You can change the parameters in the panel and change the attachments. Do you mind tell why you want to edit it? Could you also tell which tutorial are you using? Thanks, Felipe.
  11. Hi Tetoldini, One easy way to do it is using the System translation inside MotionView. You can select the master model system and all the other systems will follow it. Be careful with the Y axis since the assembly wizard models are parametrized in left and right side. Best regards, Felipe.
  12. Hello, You have several ways to do this. 1) You could use a template including a fix joint when certain distance is achieved (the computation of the system can be done using a sensor) https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2019/help/ms/topics/solvers/ms/understand_seq_sim_intro_t.htm 2) You can add contact between the bodies as it happens in the real life I guess. https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2019/help/ms/topics/solvers/ms/3d_mesh_to_mesh_contact_sim_intro_r.htm https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2019/help/tutorials/mv-1012.pdf 3) You could add a second force with a impact function to limit the movement (analog to use contacts) 4) You could include a bistop function on the joint providing a range that the joint can translate. https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2019/help/ms/topics/solvers/ms/bistop.htm?zoom_highlightsub=bistop Best regards, Felipe.
  13. Hi Adrian, That is probably because you have not entered a corporate or university email. Do you such email to do the registration? If not, I recommend you to contact the local support team from your country (email and phone can be found on Altair Website). Best regards, Felipe.
  14. Hi Adrian, Have you looked at MotionView and MotionSolve tutorials in the online help? https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2017/help/mv/mv.htm?vehicle_simulation_using_motionview_mvtut.htm
  15. Hello, Could you upload your .hm model here or give us an idea what is inside that file? I mean, the cad is a set of surfaces, solids or lines and points? Best regards, Felipe.
  16. Hello Yuvaraj, Does your model run fine if you deactivate the friction on the joints and contact? I would recommend you to run your model by steps to identify the error. First include only the joints, motion, springs, forces entities to represent the overall mechanism, does it work? If yes, then you include friction and tune your model to achieve the desired simulation. Please try to do that and let us know if you succeeded. Best regards, Felipe.
  17. Hello Teke, Can you please upload the .log file of your model? Probably the simulation did not complete well and therefore no .h3d was generated. Please check if there is any error in the solver run .log file. Best regards, Felipe.
  18. Hi Rahul, Could you please provide more information of your model? Did you have any issue while importing the CAD in MV? Can you check if MV indicates open edges in the graphics in the contact panel? If possible, please upload the .log file or your simulation. Best regards, Felipe.
  19. Hello Sushanth, Sorry the late response. It depends on your model, if you are performing a Static Ride analysis in a half-vehicle for example, the vehicle is fixed to the ground in the CG position. Therefore, increasing the vehicle weight will not affect the simulation unless you want it to do so. The same may be true for the other parameters. I recommend you to take a look on our online help about the analysis you are simulating to verify if the parameters affect or not your simulation based on your model, hal-car, full-vehicle, trucks, etc. https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2018/help/mv/mv.htm?static_ride_anaylsis_mv_ug.htm https://altairhyperworks.com/hwhelp/Altair/2018/help/mv/mv.htm?kinematics_and_compliance_mv.htm Best regards, Felipe.
  20. Hi Rahul, Have you tried to specify a velocity output of this particular body? Best regards , Felipe.
  21. Hi gholamir, Can you please ask your question in Feko's forum? https://forum.altair.com/forum/54-altair-feko/ This one is for multibody simulation (not related). Thanks, Felipe.
  22. Hi Pratik, Do you have MS 2017.2.3 installed in your machine? If yes, please try this version. Best regards, Felipe.
  23. Hello, No, the files are only in the installation folder. Can you try reinstall your HyperWorks to see if that solves your problem? Please let us know if the folder is there after reinstalling the software. Best regards, Felipe.
  24. Hello Julian, In MotionSolve you can run a linear analysis and export the ABCD matrix. Then you could use Altair Compose to create the Bode plot. I am sending you a script in Compose to create the Bode plot from the MotionSolve results. Best regards, Felipe. ms_bode.oml
  25. Hi Snow85, The exact path location is this: ..\Altair\2017\tutorials\mv_hv_hg\mbd_modeling\flexbodies\sla_flex_left.fem Can you check if you find the model there? In any case here is the file. sla_flex_left.fem
