  1. This needs to me create the surface manually. In the previous versions, there used to be the option to automatically create both the pretension surface and the pretension node using the auto command in the contact manager. I am looking for that option. It saves a lot of time.
  2. I used to used the auto pretension section in Hypermesh 2020 to automatically create my Pre-Tension section, the load and the Fixed BC. I am unable to locate the auto pretension section manager. where did the contact manger move to?   3. I have another question, where did the contact manger move to? I was trying to create Pre-Tension using the automatic way by selecting 2 nodes? Where did that option move to?   4. I have been using HM since 2011. The last version I used was 2017. I recently upgraded to 2020 and found that several options have changed. One of them is the contact surfaces have moved from groups to set segments. I would always create a bigger contact surface and delete surface elements that I did not need using the F2-> delete elements command. Now since the definition has moved to set segments, how do I delete elements from a set segment. I am unable to select them using F2-delete elements. I have attached an image here. I want to delete all the green contact surface elements that do not over lap with the purple set segment.
  5. Thanks for the reply, AcuPro. Do you have a pdf or help document that shows how to calculate HTCs with a constant reference temperature. The outputs I currently have are attached. I would need Heat Flow, Elemental Surface Area and the Elemental Surface temperature along with a known reference temperature to calculate HTCs with a constant temperature. I have the Surface temperature results, How Do I get the Heat Flow and Surface Area or the Elemental Heat Flux? Is there any other way we can calculate? Thanks, AK.
  6. Will that model work even when I know the flow is going to be Laminar? Just for my understanding, with Laminar flow, heat was being exchanged between the 2 domains. We need to turn on turbulence only to get the results output. is my understanding correct? Thanks, AK.
  7. Hello, I am running a Laminar CHT analysis (Pipe flow). How do I select the outputs? Acusolve is not exporting the surface film coefficient (HTC) at the interface between the solid and the fluid domains. It outputs the temperature, pressure and velocities. On a side note, I am using HM 2017.2 and how to do set up a CHT analysis in HM? Specifically, I wanted to know how to setup the interface. Looking at the tutorials, I setup 2 interfaces (duplicate elements). I defined one interface as a wall and the other as an interface. It did not run. Anything that I am missing? Thanks, AK.
