  1. Hello, I have got a problem with CPU usage when I use Feko 19.2 or 19.3 for RL-GO simulations. It does not matter how many cores I set - 40, 30, 20 or 10, the cores use about 20% of their computational power after a few seconds. The same situation appears on other workstations (with hyperthreading on and off) or different simulation models. In previous versions of FEKO everything works normally. Could you tell me what happened? Unfortunatelly, I can't send cfx file with the model. Thank you in advance.
  2. hallo everybody, I'm using HW 12 and have already run some analysis (mostly static analysis). I use a Intel i7 3770k cpu with 4 cores and hyperthreading. I use the "-ncpu 8" option when running radioss, to minimize running time. But windows still shows only 50% cpu usage in the task manager. I also tried to use the "-nt 8" option, but it didn't make any difference. My professor in university told me these run options, but doesn't know himself, why the cpu ist only at 50%. Does anybody know, how to get 100% cpu usage when running Radioss 12? Is there some kind of parameter in the control cards maybe? Thanks in advance for some help!
  3. Does Evolve take advantage of Intel i7 hyper-threading?
  4. Hi all, I have been running an optimisation on a mountain bike frame with multiple load cases. A few times (not necessarily the frame model) when running optimisation with a small element size for multiple load cases, I have encountered an issue with the program. The Memory (ram) is fully utilised, almost 100% from the processes running, though the processes are not being processed by the CPU, this is causing hard faults to occur. I have left an optimisation run for 17.5 hours, only to not be completed (I know this task may take longer), I terminated due to nothing being processed. This fault may be arising from terminating other runs if they start in parallel. I have attached pictures of my resource monitor for the issue and a good run. In a normal run the CPU fluctuates from around 13 to 100% averaging 40% on some processes. Computer Specs: CPU: Intel I7 3610QM 2.3Ghz w turbo Memory: 8Gb DDR3 Graphics: 2Gb NVidia GT630M OS: Windows 7 x64 Home Prem.
  5. Is it possible to control the number of processors used by the CPU when running a solver based analysis in HyperStudy?
