  1. Hey guys, I want to export nodal stresses from a model given in HyperMesh and write them into a .csv-file. The important thing is to only use HyperMesh, because I want to run a .tcl-script to customize and automate this procedure in a following step. Do you have any ideas how this could work without using HyperView or any other post-processing tool? Besides, I was wondering if it's possible to start a Thermal Analysis and placing the thermal load on elements - and not on nodes how it is usually done. Could somebody help me out here?   2. Hey guys, I want to catch a mistake concerning the mesh. when this mistake is occuring, the user should be able to fix the mesh. During a while loop i have sometimes an error in the command *plotnodelist, because it needs the inputs "results of a analysis" and "nodes id". Sometimes the analysis fails and *plotnodelist leads to a break down of Hyperworks because of the missing results. Here is the relevant part of my code: while {} {...... if { [catch {*plotnodelist 1}] } { puts "analysis failed " break } else { *plotnodelist 1 } ....} Kind regards Simon
  3. I am a beginner for hypermesh customization. Want to know what are the prerequisites before i enter customization. And how do i set up the environment for customizing Hypermesh.
  4. Hi, I need to create nodes for elements of user specified sizes. For eg, If the user specifies size 6 for the element, the nodes should be created at (0,0), (0,6), (6,0), (6,6). If the user specifies size 8 for the element, the nodes should be created at (0,0), (0,8), (8,0), (8,8). This is to be repeated to generate a geometry 830 mm*450 mm . therefore, if the element is of size 8, 830/8 elements must be created along the length and 450/8 elements along the width with their corresponding nodes. Please tell me how to automate this? Also, I need flexibility to change 830*450 mm dimensions to user specified dimensions (say 500*250 or 1000*600 etc etc). How do I incorporate this?? thanks, Kushal.
  5. Hey guys, I've created a GUI where the user can choose if he wants to apply a pressure load in x-, y- or z-direction by clicking on a button. By clicking on one of the buttons, a variable called "vector" will be created. This variable should later be used in the command that creates the load. Trying to select this variable with $vector on the position that is marked in yellow in the end of the screenshot, nothing happens. Could you somehow help me out with this problem? Kind regards Simon
  6. Hey guys, I'm trying to customize the setting up of simulation, so I'm using the command *createmarkpanel nodes 1 "Choose the relevant nodes for the constraints." to create the constraints. Later on, I use the same command for creating the load. If, for any reasons, I don't want to use this program for creating the constraints and click on proceed without marking any nodes, an error is occurring and the program stops directly. Thus, it's not possible to use the program to mark the nodes for the load afterwards. Is it possible to somehow avoid this error?   8. Hi, I have a meshed cylinder (2d) on which i want to give an option to select a node to user. Once the node is selected, and clicked on proceed button it should display all the circumferential grids having a user defined number to the grids. Let's say i select a grid having ID as 122. Now, i want to display all the circumferential grid starting from 123 on the same station location where user has picked the node. I want to do it using TCL/ TK. Thanks

  10. I am trying to debug TCL code through hypermath tool in Hypermesh. But, i don't know why it doesn't work properly like other IDEs. I don't know how to debug it step by step, so that i can come to know the workflow. It doesn't even shows the values at breakpoints. Any idea?
  11. Hey guys, I'm trying to write a script which deletes elements of a model, that have a young's modulus under a certain value ("Grenzwert"). Running the following Code, this is working as it is supposed to for the first 5 iterations. Afterwards the number of elements deleted stays the same all the time. The problem is, that there are still elements with a youngs modulus lower than 100. Do you know what's the problem here?
