  1. Hi every one, I have a result of a coordinate of a plate from Hyper mesh and I am wondering how can I integrate it in Feko to do an electromagnetic simulation. For more details: the file is “.csv” one which is the result of a meshing of Hyper mesh of a plate (I can have other extension in Hypermesh output). I thought about a script but I don't know how to write it, maybe it’s already written in the Feko setup file. Thank you for your help. Samir
  2. Hey! I am trying to perform a structural and transient analysis on a Roller Element Bearing model. I am able to perform simple static analysis but I would like to utilize Hyperworks to simulate the following conditions: Inner race to be rotating with a constant velocity and a fixed radial load is applied. Outer race is fixed. The balls should also be rotating. I wish to know: 1. How I can give a constant velocity to the inner race of the bearing while also allowing the balls to rotate? Which card am I supposed to use? 2. What kind of contact constraint should I apply. Right now I am working with slide contact only. 3. Is quasi static analysis adviced or implicit non linear? There is one video but in a different solver which does what I have been trying to do. I wish to do it in Hyperworks. Here is the link: Also please suggest whether optistruct's non linear can be used or whether I should switch over to a different solver module! Cheers
  3. Hi, I am using Incremental Radioss. There are few default material available in the database. When running the simulation with those default material, the simulation runs successfully (though it has 0 errors and 2 warnings. The warning is related to the material property). But I am using a different material which I add it in the database manually. When running the simulation with the manually added material, I get the error in simulation running or the simulation gets stopped in the middle while it is running few animation files. In the summary page, I get 0 errors and 2 warnings, the same one which I got while running with the default materials. The difference is that, the simulation gets over when running with the default material but it isn't getting completed with the manually added materials. The material I am adding is DP1200 steel. Have attached with the screenshot of the error. Error : 2 warning id :1084 Warning in material law1 When referring to material law1, it says it is related to the elasticity of the material. But I have given the input values properly. Kindly help me as soon as possible and thanks in advance.
  4. Submitted by cbonnet on Mon, 03/22/2010 - 14:45 In order to purchase the exact motor model that has been proven functionning with this vissim example, i'd be grateful if anyone could tell me the references of said motor. If i could see some datasheet to, it would be awesome. Thanks for your time.
  5. Hello Forum, I am a student and am learning how to use acusolve, I would like to know how to make a simulation of an exhaust manifold. I want to know what I have to define so I can have inlet conditions that change by time, do I only need to modify boundary conditions? Thanks,
  6. Hi, I have some questions I was hoping someone could answer. I am trying to model a sandwhich structure with carbon fibre skins and aluminium honeycomb core and then perform a 3 point bending test in the software if possible. 1. Could someone please explain what the reason is for selecting PCOMPP, PSOLID etc, what are the reasons for choosing one of them over another? 2. Which compersite property: PCOMPP, PSOLID, PSHELL, etc, do I need to select for the task I want to achieve (3-point bending simulation)? 3. Another question relates to my understanding of the MAT 8 card....would I be correct in saying that as MAT8 only asks for the in-plane properties, it would not be possible to get proper results for a 3-point bending test in the software? (Or does the software still work this out?) 4. Would I need to use the MAT9 card for what I am trying to do and in that case what composite property do I select, PCOMPP, PSOLID, PSHELL, etc? 4. If I select for example PCOMPP for the honeycomb properties, do I have to select PCOMPP for the carbon fibre skin properties? Regards
  7. Hi All, I have been using Nastran as my solver for Hyperstudy and it works well till the execution of my simulation. But HyperStudy has to wait for some time till the simulation is complete before it starts extracting the responses. I know that I need to write some script which checks whether there are no errors in the simulation and then extract the data. Has anyone come across this and can you let me know how we can script this?
  8. Hi Everyone, I am working with Optistruct for my Linear/Static Analysis, I am doing Topology Optimization in my model but before I wanted to check whether my model is working regarding with displacement or stress result for my BCs. but after analysis result it shows nothing every displacement result is zero and no change. Can anyone take a look into my model whats wrong or what change I have to make. I used Hex mesh, with 4 Loadcases and one constraint. I have attached my model for the expect reference. It would be much apprieciated if i get any positive response. Thank you in advance. Regards, Muthu.
  9. Hi Pau, Do you have any information related of wheel rim casting simulations.
  10. Hi, I am using Hyperform 2017.1 Incremental Radioss. I run two simulations. The first one as mesh size 50 and user added material (DP1180). The simulation was successful. But then the second simulation was, with mesh size 2.7 and material as CRQD (default material in the database). The other parameters and the geomtery of the model are the same for both the simulations. The first simulation got over in 30 minutes. For the second simulation, it was able to write till animation file 6 in 20 minutes and then stopped in few min in animation file 7. For you reference, it is in the same animation file 7 for the past two days? Can I quit the process or still it is running? Can you please sort out this. Thank you.
  11. During a static analysis there are temporary .rs~ files generated which exceed the disk space which results in an error which stops the process. Is there anything wrong or need to be minded in the setup? Never had this in previous analysis. Thanks
