  1. Hi, my name is Javier and I´m from Spain. I´m currently the dynamics system manager in Formula URJC ( Formula Student team) and I´m using the templates to design our next suspension system. But I have a problem with the template. It seems like the tire in the template is not 13'' because the wheel centre point is in the 262.64 coordinate in Z axle. We are using Hoosier 13'' wheels and I need to change the body radius, because if I change this coordinate, the only change that appears is in the point not in the wheel size. How could I change the wheel size? Ok, now I want to take advantage of the opportunity and ask another question. I have already seen the tutorial about how to input a target for the suspension system design, so here is my question: What happen if I achieve a target with the optimization and then I want to achieve another target but this one may change the first one? Does an error appear? Or does the program calculate a compromise solution? Thanks! Javier
  2. Hey guys, I'm trying to simulate a tire bouncing off a rigid wall. I defined a monitored volume with air properties and an external surface, which is the tire. The external pressure is 0.1 MPas and the external is 0.2 MPas. The solver runs fine but the funny thing is that the pressure of the monitored volume is decreasing permanently (also below 0.2 MPas, like there would be a leak somewhere...). In the attached picture you see the peak where it hits the ground but then, instead of normalizing the pressure to 0.2 MPas, it's getting less and less. The volume of the monitored volume gets bigger, therefore the product of p*V to the power of gamma stays constant. Why is this happening? How can I change this? Is there a more realistic way of modeling/simulating a tire? (Also the Hypermesh file is attached) Appreciate all of your answers, thanks (; tire_new.hm
  3. Hi, I have written a tire subroutine in FORTRAN, the subroutine having the "Tire Subroutine Arguments" as described in the user guide, and according to 'STI - Standard Tire Interface'. There is no mention in the user guide how to interface this subroutine from the model file (how to insert all the required inputs, how to inform motionview that this is a tire subroutine with 'Standard Tire Interface', etc..). A simple model + fortran subroutine as an example would be greatly appreciated! Thank you, hdrz
  4. Hello everyone, I've got another question for another work I have a truck model and I would like to attach tires on it. Let's say I have the .tir file and created the .rdf file. All I have to do is insert an "Auto Entity" (Right click ==> Add Auto Entity) and put in my 2 files ? (See screenshot 1) I can see in Assembly Wizard full car models with a lot of Outputs/Solvers Arrays/Solver Strings/Variables/User Subroutines etc (See screenshot 2). It seems to be a User-defined model as I saw in the User's Guide. What is the difference between these 2 methods ? Thanks for the reply (I will not be able to share my model)
