Hi everyone, I created an external unit cell, meshed it in Hypermesh and defined everything according to the Multiscale Designer Manual - Periodic mesh on opposing faces of unit cell - 3D mesh with only CTETRA elements - One component for each micro-phase (with component ID 1 & 2) - One property (PSOLID) for each micro-phase (with property ID 1 & 2) When I try to import my .fem-file in MSD I get the erroro message depicted below. I tried to import the external unit cell from the examples folder of Multiscale Designer and that worked. So the setup of my MSD works in principal but cannot import my file. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks for your support.
  2. Hello, The situation is as follows:- I solve a model. CASE 1: Load Model: .h3d file Load Results: .h3d file I find everything OK. the results are good. Same Model (Solved File) CASE 2: Load Model: .fem file Load Results: .h3d file Results very different from the initial results.(Magnitude of results are very very less). Now i am doing this because i have created a few sets in my model which .h3d file won't read. Then i checked my fem file and it has details of all my element sets created. So i run .fem file along with .h3d file. I get all my sets as created in hypermesh but results would significantly differ. Can anyone help me in resolving this issue. Thank you.
  3. hello i m trying to make h3d from .fem. i m doing as it is tutorial in MotionView/MotionSolve which are available @ http://www.altairuniversity.com/learning-library and search for motorcycle. i created my own motor cycle frame in optistruct then i meshed it and created rigid components. like then i followed the Generating a Flexible Body for use in Altair MotionSolve - RD-4030 https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Hyperworks/help/hwsolvers/hwsolvers.htm?rd4030.htm then i did optistruct and created .fem file while importing that file error message came: *** OptiStruct defaults set from: install config file: C:\Program Files\Altair\13.0\/hwsolvers/optistruct.cfg.
