  1. Hello All, I want to perform 2D mesh union operation of two set of overlapping elements. Below are the images for reference. Here, both mesh A and B consist of 2nd order tria elems. Mesh A is from an older FE model built in different pre-processsor (Abaqus CAE) and Mesh B was generated within HM. The objective is to preserve mesh-A and stitch the extra mesh region present in the mesh B to it. I have tried using the mesh Boolean operation, but did not get any solution. Not sure if I am missing out something. So, is there a way to achieve this ? I am open to tcl scripting as well. Thanks, Roshan
  2. Hello, Is there a direct process for dragging the selected nodes for creating the elements and maintaining their connectivity with nodes along the red line? ( I am asking about a direct process in which I will not require to split / edit the surface or change the number of nodes on an edge) Thanks Bharat
  3. Hi All working on 3D flange having holes..i m trying to write script for 3D mesh of it.. process i am following is : 1. washer split for holes. 2. 2D Automesh surfaces 3. Solid map I want 2D Automesh process to be interactive so that user can adjust mesh around holes to create good washer.. How can i do this..? Regards, PD
  4. Hello, I have created a 2D model (a simple rectangular panel) and meshed it with quadrilateral elements of size 5. Loads have also been applied to the edges of this panel. Now I want to change the size of the elements to 2 : if I use "automesh" again, all loads will disappear. How can I modify the size of the elements without influencing the loads ? Thank you all
