  1. Hi all, Based on a drop test simulation, I think we can get one node acceleration by using three ways. First, get acceleration result directly by using Build Plot about Acceleration. Second, get velocity result directly by using Build Plot about Velocity, and then do one derivative to get acceleration. Third, get displacement result directly by using Build Plot about Displacement, and then do double derivative to get acceleration. From my simple test example, I found the acceleration results with the same node by using the above three methods were very different (the z direction acceleration result of node 7085 listed below method 1: -66~56, method 2: -27~27, method 3: -16~19). The result was figured below. So my doubt is why so different acceleration results were gotten by using these three methods? Which method result is correct and can be compared with experiment testing acceleration result by using accelerator in experiment? Roy SimpleDropValidation5_0000.rad SimpleDropValidation5_0001.rad
  2. Hi everyone I'm performing crash analysis with radioss using units [ms], [mm], [kg], [kN]. I' ve added an accelerometer on the vehicle and I was trying to understand in what kind of units is the output of the acceletometer itself, because I get different values from the acceleration I get as double derivative of the displacement of the same point. Thanks for the help
  3. Hi, I am trying to simulate an impact on a surface. But I have some problem to apply acceleration on the surface. Can you please ell me how I can apply acceleration? I am working with optistruct. Thank you
  4. @Deep I am working on AOC model and I wanted to find out velocity and acceleration. How to find it?
  5. Hi, members. I want to creat time domain curve. conditions is as below. Acceleration: 9g, 5g direction: X, Y and X+Y T: 100hz How to get this curve? I'll use this curve to solve the dynamic transient analysis.
  6. Hi, Anyone know how to convert acceleration data to displacement time dat ain hypergraph with the function of zero mean after conversion? As if i simply double integrate it, displacement data are not vibrate in zero mean level while in real case, it should vibrate in zero mean level.
