  1. Hi, I have a structure made of 3d solid map hex mesh elements, ie. primitive unit cells (see primitive image attached). I have turned my hex mesh elements into bar2 elements. I would like to create a central node to the primitive unit cell and connect bar elements to this central node (see body centred cubic image). I know this will most likely be a TCL script problem but I'm not sure how the script would be written. I have successfully created the primitive unit cell and used config edit tool to create bar2 elements (CBEAM's) But I would now like to do this with elements connected to a central node. A comparison of what I'm attempting to do can be seen in this paper: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6265793/pdf/materials-11-02073.pdf I look forward to hearing from the community, Kind Regards, Laurence
  2. Hello All, I am trying to create bar element from component edge which is illustrated with red dashes below. But orientation of the bar element is crucial for me. However, x direction of the bar element starts from lower node number to higher node number. An example of this problem is presented below. orientation of the 1st bar element is shown with green arrow line and orientation of the 2nd bar element is shown by orange arrow line which are at different directions due to numbering of the nodes. In order to achieve this problem I have tried to renumber nodes however renumbering does not follow a certain direction. moreover hypermesh does not allow me to update orientation of the element by using bars - update panel. Is there any way to create bar element that follows the circular direction and all of them are oriented clockwise ? Thanks in advance
  3. Hi, I tried to connect a 1D Bar (comp id 1) element with a 2D Shell. But when I create a connector Spot weld I always get the error “failed: Link entity 1 (comp id 1) does not have a projection”. Is it not possible to connect a Bar element with a Shell element using connectors? Kind Regards, Simon
  4. Hello, i have a Report Template, which creates some Bar Charts. I would like to have a Bar Chart with the Difference to the first Curve/Bar, i loaded in. So everytime i load a new h3d File in this Report, it shall add a new Bar with the Difference to the first Bar. Template Stucture: Page1 Window 1 Displacement of Node 37546 of h3d-1 Displacement of Node 37546 of h3d-2 Displacement of Node 37546 of h3d-3 Window 2 Displacement of Node 12357 of h3d-1 Displacement of Node 12357 of h3d-2 Displacement of Node 12357 of h3d-3 Window 3 {p1w2c1.y - p1w1c1.y} {p1w2c2.y - p1w1c1.y} {p1w2c3.y - p1w1c1.y} When i define {p1w2c1.y - p1w1c1.y} in the Report Template, i get for the second and third import of data wrong results: {p1w2c2.y - p1w1c2.y} and {p1w2c3.y - p1w1c3.y} So i want, that Hypergraph only iterates one part of the Expression while keeping the other part. Can anyone help me? Thank you very much. Kind regards Henrik Alpmann
