  1. Why can I not assign all the media I have added to my Media Library to the regions and faces of the objects in my FEKO models? What are the rules for assigning media to regions and faces of models? I was told in an email from the FEKO support team that a metal solid is modeled in FEKO not by setting the region of the object to a metallic medium (which is not allowed) but by making the region medium of the object free space, by making the medium of the object "surfaces" (by which I assume was meant "faces") the needed metallic medium, and by making the thickness of those "surfaces" greater than skin depth. I have tried this but the metallic medium I am using, copper, does not appear on all of the model faces I need to model as copper. I am using FEKO 7.0.
  2. How can a union in CADFEKO be broken back into its constituent components without duplicating the components and then deleting the old union? This workaround works but is annoying. Also is there a way to selectively hide components of a union without breaking up the union? I am using FEKO 7.0.
  3. Hello @Rahul Ponginan, I am new to hypermesh. When i was studying theoretically about Finite element analysis, i got to know that the calculations will be made at limited number of nodes and then the result will be interpolated to the entire domain. Can you please tell me that what is "interpolate" in FEA/FEM? I already searched in google and got some theories, but those were unable to understand. Awaiting for your reply. Thanks in an advance. Regards, Saravanan R
  4. Hello guys! This is my first time dealing with HyperMesh and Finite Element software, and Im kinda having a hard time using it. I'll be glad if any of you guys can help me out! Im building a Formula SAE Chassis and I need to check if there're any extra bars and also check if any of them will break and so on. I already learned how to do meshing on each bar, but now I dont know how to apply loads and start the 1D linear analisys for the beginning. I also found a Tutorial here but I do not have the samples to start the workshop... So...after having the chassis imported from solidworks and have all bars meshed, where should I start now? Thanks a lot!! PS: Already solved the problem with importing (from another topic).
