  1. Hello, I am looking for converting the userprofile from Radioss to Optistruct in the Batch mode. I dont want to convert the model. I just want to change the solver/user profile to Optistruct and use the options there. There are few commands available: hm_framework loaduserfprofile: This is a GUI query and worked only at the command prompt of hypermesh GUI. *solverconvert: This can convert the solvers. But from the 'https://connect.altair.com/CP/kb-view.html?kb=149260', the solver conversion isn't supported for Radioss to Optistruct. I would be grateful if anyone has tried the same and can share your view. . Thanks
  2. Hi, I am trying to run a simple SimLab script in Batch mode on Linux environment. I am getting the error: "hwx: cannot connect to X server". Following is the command that I am issuing - $SIMLAB_SH_FILE -auto fe_modelling_simlab.py -nographics & Is there any parameter that I am missing in the command ? Or is it that GUI environment is required for running SimLab in batch mode? Thanks, Roshan
  3. Hi all, I am running a script in simlab using batch mode but after the operation is completed, simlab automatically opens up the graphical window. Everytime i need to close it manually after execution. I am using simlab 2017. This is my .bat file content >> SET CAE_HOME="C:/Program Files/Altair/2017/SimLab2017" SET PROJECT_DIR="D:/vipin" %CAE_HOME%\SimLab.bat -auto %PROJECT_DIR%\createMesh.py –nographics what could be the reason?
  4. Hi, I am trying to create a tcl script that is supposed to find the element normal direction for a component/body. I want to run the script in batch mode and obtain the output (normal direction) in a text file. Is there any way I can achieve this? Please refer to the attached snapshots for better understanding. Note: All element normals for a particular body are in the same direction. Thanks & Regards, Roshan
  5. I am attempting to automate some of the processes that I do in Hypermesh by using some TCL scripts. Currently I have created a working TCL script that works when I run it from the Hypermesh interface. When I attempt to run this script from the windows command window I get an error and the script stops running. I have attached the script, and the igs file where the geometry is imported from. I have also included the error that I receive below. Note if you would like to run the script you will need to modify lines 2,8, and the last 4 so that the file path reflects that of your computer. Error: Data-name is not valid 0 while executing "*setvalue loadsteps id=1 STATUS=2 OS_SPCID={loadcols 1}" (file "auto1.tcl" line 117) invoked from within "source auto1.tcl" End of command file - terminating. HM exiting with code 1 Thanks in advance for your help. -Alec Drawing3.igs Auto1_V2.tcl
