  1. Hello, I have a problem using Inspire. I am doing a topology optimization of an upright. The problem is that the structure which the solver outputs to me is not connected to all of my non design space. The bearing at the bottom of this picture needs to be connected to both of the cylinders but is only connected to the top one. I alrady tried to separate the bearing (1 constraint and the other 2 contraints) but that does not make any sence at all. I also saw a picture, where it worked with nearly the same connectors. Hi all, I want to analyse kinematics of rotating elements in the bearing 1. when inner ring is fixed and outer is Rotating, 2. when outer ring is fixed and inner is Rotating, Effect of RMP on rolling elements in terms of deformation and contact stresses is the major objective. loading condition is given in following image. please revert with suitable solver for the same.   3. Hello everybody, I'm a Student and have to do a thesis. The thesis is about a FEA about an large bearing. But I'm a beginner in Hypermesh. Does someboby has some tips for modeling of the isssues "initial bolt prestress", "hertzian stress" and general Information which is important to consider?
  4. Two bodies are connected by means of bearing (upper race and lower race bolted to respective bodies). Detailed analysis (ignore bearing model) is not required. What type of connections could be given between two components? Can we assume a block instead of bearing, and give what type of connections?
  5. Hey! I am trying to perform a structural and transient analysis on a Roller Element Bearing model. I am able to perform simple static analysis but I would like to utilize Hyperworks to simulate the following conditions: Inner race to be rotating with a constant velocity and a fixed radial load is applied. Outer race is fixed. The balls should also be rotating. I wish to know: 1. How I can give a constant velocity to the inner race of the bearing while also allowing the balls to rotate? Which card am I supposed to use? 2. What kind of contact constraint should I apply. Right now I am working with slide contact only. 3. Is quasi static analysis adviced or implicit non linear? There is one video but in a different solver which does what I have been trying to do. I wish to do it in Hyperworks.
