  1. Hi guys, I truly need your help. As you can see in the attached picture, I'm trying to understand if the initial inclination of the pneumatic cylinder has any effects on the torque needed to tilt the arm. I imported the CAD into my motionview model (Cylinder in vertical position) and I would like to know if there is any way to rotate the cylinder and its components (cylinder case and piston). I tried to achieve this result by defining the position of the Center of Mass as a function of the inclination angle (expressed as a solver variable, in order to optimize its value by using hyperstudy in a second moment), but I'm afraid that I simply translated the center of mass instead of rotate it (see picture), in fact the floating marker associated to the piston is not tilted. How can I achieve this result? How can I rotate the graphic too? (I tried with "orientation" but I cannot fully understand which angles it desired as input) Thanks for helping me in this matter.
  2. Hello everyone, When I began using HyperMesh I started to try many commands. I don't know how I created these yellow entities and the red one around the hole. Now that I know how to handle some more tasks, I'm not able to find the way to delete these strange entities which Im not even sure if they are elements, rigid elements... If someone knew what they are or just can help me to find the way to delete them, i'd be really grateful. Thanks in advande, Julio
  3. Dear Support Team, I use Hypermesh and Optistruct to build flexbody models to use in MSC Adams MBD models. Since my flexbody models are large and have too many unused DOFs, I need to reduce them only to ASET DOFs. In the particular problem I'm trying to solve, I have a machine part with a few ASETs to attach/constrain it and a single location where I get response data from. So, the only DOFs I need are the DOFs of this response location (in addition to the DOFs of other ASETs). I can put an ASET on this location but I don't know how to force Optistruct to output only ASET DOFs to the generated Adams MNF file. In the docs for Optistruct MODEL solver card, Comment #1 states that: "For CMS superelements output in h3d format, only the ASET DOF are output when the MODEL data is not present." I need this same effect but with MNF format and not h3d format, since I work with MSC Adams and not Motion View. I have tried a few ways on my own but have been unable to succeed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best regards.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm currently learning HW 12 in university and I tried to perform an inertia relief analysis to a normal metal chain (4 bodies with surface contacts). I performed the inertia relief tutorial RD-1030 and it work out. But when I tried to perform the inertia relief analysis on the chain, I didn't know how to set up the suport1 constraints and I haven't managed it yet to get the analysis going. I mostly get the Error 941 (large displacement). Seems that 6 dof constraints are not enough... Now I wanted to ask, if it is possible to perform inertia relief analysis with multiple bodies, which are connected via surface contacts to each other? Thanks in advance for some help!
  5. Hello everybody I am a new user of Hyperworks softwares. I'm doing the tutorials of hypermesh and radioss. I am encountering a problem with the tutorial RD-3510: Cantilever Beam with Bolt Pretension. I get the following error in Tool > Model Checker > Radioss Block "Rbody ID is different from master ID" I don't understand this error and I don't know how to solve it. I have just attentively followed the tutorial. Moreover I tried to run Radioss, keeping the error. The job is completed but I don't get any hyperview file. How can I deal to get an Hyperview file please ? Thank you
