  1. when i am applying a deacceleration of 1120mm/sec^2 on the chassis it showing an error i am attaching the output file and the result file how it looks after applying deacceleration. i have also attached the orignal chassis image. applied deacceleartion is in +z axis. can anyone tell me why this is happening. error message.txt

  3. Dear all, please help me with the parameterization of LOCATION of three cross-members of ladder frame chassis for DOE study using LHS(random design points). The cross-members are to be translated in y-direction in both directions limited to ±100 units. The design variables (continuous, not discrete) are the locations of cross-members from rear end i.e. Y1, Y2 and Y3 and response is the first modal frequency. I want to generate a response surface for freq in terms of Y1, Y2, and Y3. Please tell me how to parameterize their locations to be varied as continuous variables if possible or otherwise to create response surface.

  5. Hi, I am in a fsae team in india. i am working on designing a monocoque chassis. I have applied my loads and supports on the chassis - making the rear fixed and twisting the front. Currently my chassis is being twisted about the centerline of the chassis- x axis, but I want my chassis to twist about the roll axis which is at an angle to the x axis. please help. thanks in advance.
  6. For Modal and Stiffness(torsional and bending) of ladder frame chassis, is there any significant difference in results when I use stick contact between frame and cross-members or when I use shell/rigid weld elements to connect cross-members and long members?
  7. i am trying to optimize the topology of this tub chassis to get the load paths of the load applied in the form of torsion,braking,acceleration and lateral acceleration. giving minimum element size as 100 i am doing this but it shows this design is not feasible can anyone suggest what is the problem. i have attached .hm file with the question.finally my objective is to minimize the mass of the chassis to convert this tub in space frame. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mzyq7n9dfd9ds5a/topology2.hm this is the link for the .hm file
