  1. Hi everyone, I have a question about 1d element with varying cross section. Is it possible to use such elements with optistruct? I have tried CBEAM as an element and property PBEAML, I ve tried everything and I cant figure it out. I ve tried using the PBEAML card option "pbeamlintstationslen" for dividing element into different cross sections but it doenst work. Can anyone guide me on this subject?   2. hello to forum members, Problem encountered by solver: Fatal error encountered. About structure: Stucture - Cross size: 12*12*18 mm material : Ti alloy using MAT1 and MATX Property: PSolid and Psolidx(when using it, error is coming) Load collecter: NLPARM is used MY questions is my way of solving correct? which type of non-linear analysis is required (implicit or explicit) in such structures? what is meant by fatal error occurred and how to remove it? For CTETRA elements, Isolid (in psolidx) is not provided any value. does it means it has to keep off and other parameters such as imsrtr and icpre and iframe has to provide some numerical value? if so then what values should be chosen and why? there is no tutorial for solving such problems with Radioss. hyperworks help is not regularly updated In Matx card, is it necessary to provide values to all the parameters like a, b, c, epsmax, N, sigmax?   3. Hey all, I am trying to create several sections automatically with a tcl script. I have organized all of my parts into a Part Set, which I would likey to use as the basis for the section. The concern that I have is that the only way I can get this to work is through the GUI which enacts the following command: *setvalue crosssections id=6 VisualizationPart_ID={sets 3} The remainder of the section definition works well as follows: *setvalue crosssections id=8 name=boltk geometrytype=3 basenode={0 10 152.525} normal={0 0 1} Radius=1 PartSet_ID=1 The difficulty in using "VisualizationPart_ID" is that the given ID (sets 3 in this case) refers to the third set in the panel that pops up (also the thid set in the Sets Tree). I wont necessarily know how many sets are pre-existing in a given model, and therefore I need a means to pick the actual Set ID, which I can define myself previously in the script.
