  1. I made a normal modes analysis and now with Hyperview i'm trying to get the data I need. I already got the eigenvectors (X,Y,Z) for each of the modes using the Matrix Browser. Nevertheless when I get those result I don't get the natural frequency (eigenfrequency) related to that specific eigenvectors. As you see in the picture below, the frequency doesn't appear (only that those data is related to "sel1"). How could I make the eigenfrequency to appear there so ones I postprocess the results I can get access to that data? Thanks in advance Sergio
  2. Hi all, How can I plot the eigenvectors of a mass-spring system? I have a system like this: constraint ----spring-----mass-----spring-----mass-----spring-----constraint A 2 degrees of freedom system, in a modal analysis will output 2 eigenvectors. I would like to see the vectors in the output file along with the eigenvalues (it is only for educational purposes). How can I do it?
  3. Hi, Using characteristic mode configuration, one can obtain eigenvalues, modal significance, etc. I would like to know if the corresponding eigenvector values can be exported and read. Thanks.
  4. Hello, I created a finite element model of a wing in HyperMesh. An experimental modal analysis has been performed on the real model of that wing, so I know what the eigenfrequencies and the eigenvectors are. Now I want to do a system identification in HyperStudy. As a response in this study I want to retrieve the eigenvectors at some nodes from output files of the optistruct solver. Under Define Responses - Expression - File sources I can actually see for the .res output file the option to select the eigenvector at a certain node, however, I can't select for which Mode/Eigenfrequency this eigenvector is. Is there a way to select a Eigenvector as a response at a certain node AND for a certain mode? Thanks!
