  1. Hello everyone, I have a small doubt regarding the mesh size of the FEM solver when the material inside a 3D body (for RCS consideration) is characterized with some finite conductivity. I can see the standard mesh default for FEM is around `\lambda/10` but with a conductivity of 10 inside a material (`\epislon_r = 1`), the mesh size for standard meshing is around `\lambda/145`. Does it change when the skin depth changes? I have attached my cfx here. Cyliner_FEM_V2.cfx

  4. Hey guys, i really need help, because i made a part for my bachelorthesis and let it calculate in Inspire becuase i had to do a Topologieoptimization. My Part should work without any problems, because i use the same material as the parts that are already used. the whole model shows very low stresss and just in the fixation point there are some very big tension peaks which are putting my safetyfactor low. for me it looks very strange and seriously it shoul work, because my part is at the fixation bigger then the ones i will replace and at the rest of my optimized part is very low in tension. i uploaded the pictures for more clarity. I don't know whats wrong... Please help :( (the secon one is just with a smaller elemtsize)
  5. Hey Guys! I have faced the next problem when I tried to Import CAD or Fine Element Model With Mass and Inertia in Motion View. The STEP file was imported and you can see on the attached image the „bodies” but the „graphics” aren’t visible. It is written at the Graphical source that "error evaluating". I tried to import in the 2017 version of HW, but it didn't work due to importing/conversion error. What did I do wrong? Could you please help me in this matter? Thank you for your help in advance! As this is a representative process in near-net shape manufacturing, a precision simulation is required.   7. Hello all ! This is my first post here, I'm a student doing my master thesis in Mechanical engineering. Here is my issue, I successfully did the tutorial in order to realize dynamic explicit analysis with the "full car" model available in Hypermesh database and also the " Example 51 - Optimization in RADIOSS for B-Pillar (Thickness optimization) " in order to understand how the ESL method works. The next step is to optimize the car crash box using he ESL method, my aim is to optimize the component called " COMP-PSHELL_1 " by Thickness optimization. I wrote the .radopt file but I encountered an issue with the .fem file. See below the error, I was not able to solve the issue. *** See next message about line 14864 from file: fullcarv5.fem "CONTACT,3,3,0,3" *** ERROR # 1000 *** in the input data: Incorrect data in field # 4.   8. Hello @Rahul Ponginan, I am new to hypermesh. When i was studying theoretically about Finite element analysis, i got to know that the calculations will be made at limited number of nodes and then the result will be interpolated to the entire domain. Can you please tell me that what is "interpolate" in FEA/FEM? I already searched in google and got some theories, but those were unable to understand. Awaiting for your reply. Thanks in an advance.   9. Hello, I have been trying to excite the coax feed using a FEM modal port, however, I am seeing an error, which says "Missing buffer zone for the FEM region when decoupling MoM and FEM". Can somebody please help me understand what this error means and solution to this error ? The outer cylinder of coax is copper and the inner cylinder is a pec. Also, is there anyway in FEKO to accelerate meshing for large structures? Attached is the design that I am working on. I really appreciate any suggestions or help. Thanks. DESIGN_MOM_updated.cfx

  12. Hi, I want to add temp point on my model and do analysis and then in Nastran output or fem output I can read the analysis (displacement or stress of that point), i mean in output the temp node be like a grid point or sth that analysis performed for that too. Best, Mohammad
  13. Hi, I am currently carrying out a 1D beam analysis. My results and the contour on my beam seems patchy and unclear. I have attached the file of the beam and results for you to understand. It is a distributed load of 150N between 32mm-109mm and 222mm-299mm. Could you please tell me how to make the contour line more visible.
