  1. Hi, I am trying to do a simple case , to calculate a acoustic cavity modal,but it comes out the error as belown: ERROR # 1684: FLUID element 25 points to non-fluid GRID 28. I don't know why, please help. Thanks in advance. simplemodel.hm
  2. Hi! I want to export a heatsink mesh file into fluent. According to the below pictures, a volume of fluid passes through a heatsink using a suction fan located inside the elbow duct. The mesh was produced using automesh and solid map (line drag) for solid and fluid parts. Boundary conditions were defined as figs 1,2 and 3 shows. As figs 4 and 5 show, while I was exporting the final model to fluent, the error says that there is duplicate and mixed element types in my model. What can I do to fix this error and export my model successfully in the fluent? looking forward to receive your kind help
  3. hi all ! im new here using hypermesh(abaqus as user profile)..i have one problem to ask and share perhaps..did anyone know or has experience about solid-fluid modelling? i am trying to use acoustic element in my axisymmertical acoustic-solid modelling..my problem is I want to use Acoustic Continuum Infinite 2D element..but i dont find for 2Dimensional element..I only found ACIN3D4(Acoustic Continuum Infinite 3D) which is from my knowledge is 3D...so i am not sure I can use 3D infinite acoustic element(ACIN3D4) in my 2D model..Thanks in advance..
  4. hello! I am trying to model a scenario as shown in the attached image. It is a fabric embedded in a fluid (high viscosity and rubber like). I have meshed the fabric part. Am trying to find a way to mesh the surrounding cube (liquid/rubber). Can anybody help me?
  5. Hi ! I'm trying to find the drag force of the air on a sphere. I'm using MLAW6 with the k-epsilon model on a tetramesh for the air, and M11 BOUND for the bound on a cubic mesh, the sphere is meshed with shells and put in a rigidbody. I chose an eulerian formulation (i also tried ALE..)ter I imposed a velocity of 10m/s on the first row of nodes of the air. I used the interface TYPE18 with a gap larger than 1.5times the element size to be sure it works. Master : sphere, slave : air But i still have the error : TIME STEP LESS OR EQUAL DTMIN FOR SOLID ELEMENTS This is strange because when the air is meshed using a cubic mesh it works quite well (even though i usually get a drag force about twice as large as what i calculated myself with the formula) Any ideas why it doesnt work ? and how i could make it work ?
