  1. I am not sure this is the proper place to post/start such a thread, but in the past week i spent many hours on SimSolid and I would like to see some features added on future updates. I would like to start: Copy Feature - For instance I would like to be able to copy a temperature definition in order to edit the magnitude so i define initial and final temperature without the need to re_select the faces. but the concept could be applied to other functions. Hide Function - I would be very useful if the solid selected from face definition, for instance thermal load again
  2. Hi , I'm writing a code which uses provides user options to modify created constrained rigid bodies. I feel instead of asking user to select a component to update the master or slave, I would like to provide him/her with this interface (shown in pic) for selection of new comps or deselection. The advantage is that the user can view the existing selection present. Can anyone tell me how to proceed with this.
  3. Hello, I am using Optistruct to numerically calculate some FRFs. I have test data to validate my numerical results. Measured test data is an FRF data in the form of Inertance (acceleration/force). I see that there is a big gap in frequency components' amplitudes between the measured data and numerically calculated data, though calculated and measured natural frequencies align very well. I have followed the modal frequency response tutorial and nowhere in the tutorial is it shown that we're specifically selecting the type of FRF we're wanting (e.g. inertance or mobility or receptance). GLOBAL_OUTPUT_REQUEST is used with DISPLACEMENT enabled and that makes me think that, what I am calculating in Optistruct is Receptance and not Inertance. I tried to request ACCELERATION instead of DISPLACEMENT, but ACCELERATION doesn't let me select the output node set which I used for DISPLACEMENT. How can I make sure in Optistruct that the numerical data I'm getting is inertance and not mobility (velocity/force) or receptance (displacement/force)? Best regards
  4. Hello, I was having an issue when using functions in Compose. I would like to explain the issue with a simple example as shown below. I created the function below in Compose: function [a,b,c,d] = trial1(x,y,z) a=2; b=5; c=x+y; d=x/a; end I saved the file with the name "trial1.oml" Then, in the command window, I typed [a,b,c,d] = trial1(6,12,20) Compose returned the following results as expected: a = 2 b = 60 c = 18 d = 3 Then, I modified the function as follows and I saved the file: function [a,b,c,d] = trial1(x,y,z) a=x+z; b=y*z; c=x+y; d=x/a; end Please note that the expression for outputs a and b have changed. According to the new function, a should be 26 and b should be 240. The I run the same line in the command window: [a,b,c,d] = trial1(6,12,20) And I get the following results: a = 2 b = 60 c = 18 d = 3 which are the same as the previous ones. When I restart compose and run the same line in the command window, I get the right results for the updated function. a = 26 b = 240 c = 18 d = 0.230769231 It seems like the changes I make in the function do not take place immediately. Could you please help me with this? Thank you Berker
