  7. Hello all. I have a question. Is it possible to create with .tcl commands general surfaces, but for all solids. It is very tedious to constantly perform repeated commands. And script could solve this problem. For example this detail: This surfaces were made by next commands: add_button "Make boolean surfaces" { *createmark solids 1 1 *createmark solids 2 5 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 1 *createmark solids 2 5 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 2 *createmark solids 2 1 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 3 *createmark solids 2 1 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 4 *createmark solids 2 1 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 5 *createmark solids 2 1 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 2 *createmark solids 2 2 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 2 *createmark solids 2 3 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 2 *createmark solids 2 4 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 2 *createmark solids 2 5 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 3 *createmark solids 2 1 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2 *createmark solids 1 3 *createmark solids 2 2 *boolean_merge_solids 1 2 14 2} But if we have about 100+ solids and more? How to solve this question\problem? Thanks!
  8. Hi, Is there a way to select components in the order the user selects ?? I checked for *createlistpanel but it isn't applicable for components, and hm_getmark always gives a result of a list which is ascending order only.
  9. Hello All, i trying to automate leaf spring meshing with hex mesh using tcl. anybody have any idea related to this? anybody worked on this? @tinh Regards, PD
  10. hi, i have interest to learn TCL scripting on hyper mesh. i have downloaded several tcl documents to learn it. the commands and structures on hypermesh are totally differs from the document. how do i learn it easily. please help me. regards MEIYARASU19
  11. Hi , I'm writing a code which uses provides user options to modify created constrained rigid bodies. I feel instead of asking user to select a component to update the master or slave, I would like to provide him/her with this interface (shown in pic) for selection of new comps or deselection. The advantage is that the user can view the existing selection present. Can anyone tell me how to proceed with this.
  12. Hi , I have following the posts in the forum, this time I have a question regarding a problem I'm facing. I am currently working on bringing several checks we do for a full vehicle in Primer to HM. One of them is the C.O.G of the vehicle and the total scaled mass. I have checked the F10-> Time option and after checking for the set dt2ms value, I'm getting the total added below as shown in the picture. I want to get that value (0.0809878) directly. Is there any method/command for accessing that output displayed there?? I have tried hm_getelemchekbounds and hm_getelemcheckvalues but after that I will required to do a lot of work to get the total added mass. Any suggestions...

  14. I am creating flexible body in optistruct of a truck chassis with trailer which is very big model with so many number of nodes and elements. CBN method is used UB_FREQ given 20 but i am getting 131 modes and fbi file size is about 15GB which is too much to import in SIMPACK and then i gave NMODES 40 but still its giving 131 modes which is very high So please help me with this Thank You
  15. hi all, *isolateonlyentitybymark is not working during all the occasions.is this a bug or Iam using it in wrong way.

  17. Hello, I'm currently at a point where HyperMesh seems to run out of options, or I want to do more than HyperMesh was designed for. I'm experimenting with Nastran's glue contact surfaces, with attributes BSURF, BSURFS and BGSET. Now, I have already created funcionality in HyperMesh for BSURF(S) and BGSET, but now I want to create a custom connector to use this functionality in HyperMesh. I have a construction made out of several layers of shell or solid elements and I want to 'glue' all the intermediate surfaces/solids to eachother. Seeing from the functionality for, for example, bolts, HyperMesh is capable of realising connections with purely the connector location, the to be attached components/surfs/elems and a tolerance value. Of course, information of the type of connection is required as well, but many are preset. Now I'd like to create my own custom connector, allowing me to input the to be connected contactsurfs and a tolerance value, and let HyperMesh figure out which contactsurf should be connected to which other contactsurf. After that, it should all be formatted in the NASTRAN's BSURF(S) and BGSET. Now the latter can be arranged via a post processing script that you can add to the FECONFIG.cfg file. My question is, is the former (creating a custom connector) possible to users in HyperMesh, or is it solely purposed for Altair development? Thank you for your time and help. Jeffrey PS. Please see the attachment. I want to be able to select contactsurfs 1, 2, 3 and 4. The idea is that contactsurf 2 is connected to 1. Contactsurf 3 is connected to 2, etc. This functionality is already present in bolt creation, that's why I want to make use of the HyperMesh connectors rather than write a MATLAB script to do the same.
