  1. Hi, I'm trying to import a file from FLUX software, I export the geometry from FLUX in .IGES and .STEP. In both extension the imported geometry in hypermesh is uncomplete, some solids there are, other no. some lines are ok, other are free lines with no connection. I found a lot of problem in rebuilt the geometry with no succes. How can i fix this problem? is there someone how can works with both programs with no problems? Grazie!
  2. Hi, I have been doing some size and composites optimizations and have been working with 2D elements. I want to export the geometry including the results of the thickness of my elements/plys to visualize in other prgramms (eg iges, step). Is this possible? if so how? thanks Diego
  3. Hello all, I exported a topology result using OSSmooth as an IGES file and it is freaking big (67Mb!).. My student copy of Inventor Pro 2013 cannot handle the file size and keeps hangs with the slightest action (even rotating the model!)..(Iv got a decent laptop config so that not an issue - Dell XPS L502X 8GB RAM i7-2670QM @2.2 GHz) Can someone help me how I can export a smaller, easier to handle .iges file that Inventor will be happy with? Thanks Sooo Much
  4. I am using Hypermesh 12.0 and have begun recently having an issue with Hypermesh crashing on File/Save after importing geometry from the latest version of ProE (Creo Parametric). I have tried saving immediately after importing the geometry, tried importing IGES and STEP and nothing seems to help. Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.
  5. Hi all, I'm working on a project right now and trying to figure out how to see all the notes saved on the Rhino model in Hypermesh. I've tried using the hm_metadata command but it only returns the notes applied to the whole model. Is there any other metadata command or an option I can add to hm_metadata to see the attributes given to individual solids/surfaces/points? Are these attributes even carried over in the IGES file? Thank you in advance, Alex
  6. I have some surface geometry that was exported from PolyWorks in IGES format. When I import it into Evolve, it seems that knots are only being mapped to a small portion of the overall surface. Is there a way to control the knots extent or do I need to somehow split these up?
