  1. I am trying to run an example, provided by altair on their help page, about vibroacoustic interaction and wave propagation using infinite elements CACINF3. The error message given is: The model file follows attached. Speaker_IE-C.fem
  2. The purpose is to define specific infinite directions for elements using Abaqus as a solver. From the Abaqus manual, the infinite elements should have an origin pole and the first-second nodes pointing indicates the infinite direction. If I would like to achieve infinite directions as follows, how should I modify the node numbers in Hypermesh? This is a 2D model and I am going to use CINPE4(4-nodes 2D elements).   3. Hello everyone, currently I am working with Infinite elements. I modelled infinite elements according to the manual provided by Hyperworks. I have been trying since Long to get results on PLOTEL. I don't have results on PLOTEL, I don't know why. Could anyone please help me out? Model is attached for reference.   4. Hello everyone, I am trying to define Infinite Elements on the boundary of the fluid elements. I have a model setup with structural elements surrounded by fluid elements and then on the boundary of fluid Elements I have defined CACINF3 Elements. Elements used: CACINF3 Property : PACINF Pole Location: Defined in PACINF through X,Y,Z Element normal: outward towards infinite direction Results: Displacement (Pressure) But I don't see any difference in result using Infinite Elements. Could anyone please help me, what am I still missing to define Infinite elements? Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi, I am trying to simulate the Sound pressure using acoustic infinite elements. I have doubt that, is it mendatory to have source as "Shell elements" ? I have solid elements in model, which is surrounded by Fluid elements. and I also have layer of Infinite element on it. Could anyone please confirm it? Thanks in advance. Vikrant Tailor
