  1. Hi, I meshed my model with 3D tetrahedral mesh. When I check elements, I came to know that there is an existence of Several values which can ba varied based upon our requirement. I need a Optimum value or constant or Predefined value to check 3D tetrahedral elements. Thank you in Advance
  2. Hi all I am very new to tcl and macro making and was trying to create a macro for checking the jacobian. Using the help file from hypermesh desktop reference guide this is what i did: (Documents) 72 % *createmark elems 1 "displayed" (Documents) 72 % *createmark elems 2 (Documents) 74 % *elementtestjacobian (elements,1,0.7,2,2,0,"jacobain") this gives an error of "unknown entity type found". so i tried doing this: (Documents) 72 % *createmark elems 1 "displayed" (Documents) 72 % *createmark elems 2 (Documents) 73 % *elementtestjacobian (elements, $1 ,0.7, $2 ,2,0,"jacobain") but this gave an error of "can't read 2 no such variable found". I have done exactly what was mentioned in help file then why I am getting error?

    Jacobian Calculation

hi sir, i have one doubt, how does the hypermesh calculates the jacobian value for an element?. i have searched many but i could find only the definition. Dhinesh
  4. Hello, I've been trying to improve the quality of mesh for a vehicle frame. I built the FE model and found quiet a lot of quality errors most of which were warpage and Jacobian. I understand the importance of the two criteria. But I'm just not able to bring them down to 0. I've tried reducing the element size of the whole components. I have two questions in the process. 1. Can I keep the element size of the curved surfaces very low (around 0.1mm) while keeping the rest of the components (without any quality problem) somewhere around 2mm ? 2. What can be done to keep the model out of quality errors on the whole ? Because I have around 86 components to deal which will become tedious. Thanks in advance
  5. Hı everyone, I'm doing hex mesh. But I get a negative or zero jacobian error, I tried to remesh but ı cant because in the structure has holes. Can you help me?
