  1. Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to convert a solid part into a lattice structure without any optimization. In my analysis, I am considering a cylinder which it has an outer layer made of lattice. To perform the analysis, I want to have a lattice structure in outer surface. so would it be possible to model a lattice part in Hyperworks? Thank you, Soraya

Hallo Everyone, I have created an lattice structure unitcell (BCC) of 1mm x 1mm x 1mm in CAD with that I created a whole component of 10mm x 10mm x10mm so there are 1000 unit cell in my component. I imported that component into hypermesh and it shows 1000 individual components in the model section. I want to analyse the component by applying load on the top face by constraining all the dof at the bottom and do the convergence study ( mesh refinement) . My questions are 1) how can I combine or merge all other component 1000 individual components in to a single whole as one component, I think it would be better for meshing and further analysis. ( I have attached the file for your reference please take a look) 2) How can I create a rigid plate on the bottom for locking all the dof and also rigid plate on the top for locking all dof except vertical translation for applying loads ) Thats all my questions , Please take a look on my component .   3. Greetings , I am Muthu from Germany. I have a wishbone suspension model which is already topology optimized so its in free-form structure. The topology Optimization not done by me. I got the model as .stp file and imported in HM and now the clarifications that I need , 1) With this free-form structure since it is already topology optimized , so the meshing is done already. How can i minimize the computational effort of meshing in free-form structure and how I can proceed further with this available information i got in this model ? 2) How graded materials can be considered in the FEA like finding correct material behaviour ? 3)Lattice structure : when should i proceed for LS since i have already topology optimized model . When and How can i proceed for lattice structure in my topology optimized model . I want to use 2D beam. I know these questions are basic, but it will be really helpful if I get clarified in these things. Thank you in advance for the replies and awaiting for more replies from admins.
