Hi, I am using the Incremental Radioss in Hyperform. It would be of great help if you could help me with the procedure for adding or editing the FLC curve (forming limit curve) for the material in hyperform. The tutorial says it has an option for FLC under the setup tool. But I could not find that option in the setup menu. I am using the Hyperform 2017 full version. kindly guide me. Also, can you kindly help me with evaluating the result file. I am not getting the .res file even after the simulation gets over. How do I get the .res files? Or how can I evaluate the results without that file. Thank you and help me as soon as possible.
Hello, I am running lattice optimization on certain shapes that I would like to 3D print. I was wondering if a separate tool or software is required/can be used to make the obtained lattice structure manufacturable? What would be the method for manufacturing the varying lattice densities? Hi, I am trying to implement in an Optistruct optimisation a model that will help me to define a specific objective function I need for my work. This model needs some plies geometrical information (for example, area and perimeter of each ply generated) as input in order to evaluate manufacturing cost related to the laminates at each iteration of the free-size optimisation. I think I have two ways to do that: 1) to make Optistruct printing the .fem output file at each iteration and create an external script able to extract the geometrical parameters I need from the .fem file in order to calculate the external response (I will need DRESP3). The creation of this external script, extracting area and perimeter of the plies, does not seem to be so trivial. 2) to obtain the geometrical info inside Optistruct and create the response I need using DRESP2 along with equations internally created by myself. I definitely prefer the choice 2) but the issue is that I do not have any idea on how to get these geometrical info as responses in Optistruct. I would greatly appreciate any help to solve this issue or any suggestion on the script creation to solve the problem following the choice 1). Thank you in advance for any support. Alessandro
KTex LayUp is dedicated to representing one of the composite materials manufacturing processes: the molding or RTM process. Its main objective is to automatically set-up a ready-to-run finite element model simulating this process. To do so, two input parameters are needed: the fabric and the mold. Some molds and fabrics are included in the tool database, but bespoke ones can also be created. A video regarding mold creation will come later. When selecting a fabric, two options are available: REV or Size/Shape. The REV option only needs the Representative Elementary Volume of the fabric. This REV is then duplicated and translated as many times as needed to be bigger than the mold. But the final geometry of the fabric to be molded will always be a square. The Size/Shape option needs the geometry of the fabric to be molded. This fabric can be a stack of several plies. It can feature several plies of different geometries, thicknesses or patterns... Anything is possible in order to represent the real plies that are to be molded. The user is free to define the fabric, but the user has to be careful as mistakes will not be detected.
