  1. Hello, I am trying to assign a failure criteria based on strain. For example, I want to be able to remove or replace the material properties of elements that reach 0.9% strain, or do the same thing when the principal strain of an element exceeds 10000 microstrain (these figures are from literature). The MATF card only takes stresses. How can I implement these strain-based criteria? Thanks.
  2. Hi all, As a part of structural simulation of a wing section, I use aluminium alloy (works perfectly) and foam (facing problems) material in my simulation. Foam properties are downloaded from official ROHACELL website (attached screenshot) which are used in aircraft. (Refer screenshot) We have 3 different materials as mentioned below ROHACELL 31A: E = 36, G=13 & nu = 0.384615 (Calculated using this formula nu= E/2G - 1) ROHACELL 51A: E = 70, G= 19 & nu = 0.8421 ROHACELL 71A: E = 92, G = 29 & nu = 0.5862 I wanted to use 51A material, Is there an appropriate MAT Card for these kind of material parameters?   3. Hi, I want to add materials to different regions of the FEKO union geometry. When, I right click the region of interest and go to properties only 2-3 medium available from the region medium drop down menu. Even, I add a medium by using the + sign, the medium only goes to media tree but can not select from the drop down menu. I did not have this issue with simple non-union geometries. Please share if you know how to solve this problem. Thanks in advanced.
  4. Dear All, Suppose i have a cube of 1 cm edge length and want to impose heat treatment cycle as a loading condition. can we predict the change in elastic modulus and hardness of the material after heat treatment? Regards, Ganesh Munge
