I have been carrying out the analysis on the full vehicle and have changed the hard points, mass, spring, moment of inertia (taken from Tools>CG\Inertia Summary) and preload values.I got the following errors in the solving process. Hi to everybody, i would like to perform a fatigue analysis using this method: -run the dynamic analysis in Motionsolve in order to extract the load spectrum -run the fatigue analysis in Optistruct using that load spectrum the problem is that the dynamic analysis needs 150000 seconds, and this means an enormous amount of time in Motion solve,it's almost impossible. So is there any other way i can perform this type of analysis? Thank you.

  6. Hello, i am a graduate student in ITU Aeronautical Engineering(IDP). i am preparing my thesis. The issue of my Thesis is Flexible multibody analysis of a Landing Gear of a Training Plane. When i analysed the system, i need to compare the results with real test datas. i couldnt achive tests, because of time constraints and very expensive. i think that the closest results can be explicit dynmaic analysis. when i arrenged the explicit dynmaics model and run. i saw there arent any correlation between flex mbd and exp. dynamics anylsis in the same boundry conditions. Can you help me to solve this problem. i asked this question to turkish distrubuter, they get rid of me because of thier job jam. Unfortunately my deadline is very strict, i have to deliver the thesis as soon as possible. My all datas ar in the link below.   7. Hello! I would like to do a full vehicle analysis with the advanced driver (.adl-file). Apparently, I cannot find this option when I'm in Motion View and use the "-> Model -> Assembly Wizzard" command. I tried it with the latest Hyperworks 14 and 2017 version. Does anybody know how to solve this problem? Thanks in advance. Regards, Max
  8. Hello, I am working on model of pressure plate which have axis offset. A shaft passes through it. when pressure applied (in x-y) on the pressure plate due to the offset one side of pressure plate will have more pressure. Which causes rotation on around z axis. As the shaft passes through z-axis. Shaft and pressure plate are bolted. As pressure plate will rotate it will tend to rotate the shaft. I want to find out for particular pressure how munch is torque is generated. please mention method to follow to get torque as an output How to solve this problem Thanks.

  10. Hello, I am trying to use leaf spring builder in motion view observing tutorial. I have followed each step as given in tutorial. However I am not able to create .mdl file after I hit build button. I have attached .lpf and error logs. Please find attached files and give suggestion where I am committing error.   13. I am working on some assembly model. There are some components where there is no separate motion it is connected to some parts which is in motion. But I cannot use fix joint to fix that component because it restrict motion. So what is possible solution.

  16. Hello Dear all. I am in need of a quick tip and should be an easy one for the experts in the group. I have attached the image of the mechanism that i am trying to solve. Is a simple inversion of the 4 bar mechanisim- Whit worth Quick Return Mechanism. The DOF are balanced perfectly with combination of the joints . I present the summary of the checker log: Number of (non-ground) Bodies : 7 Number of original Degrees of freedom : 42 Degrees of freedom removed by motions : 1 Degrees of freedom removed by couplers : 0 Degrees of freedom removed by Joints : 41 Degrees of freedom removed by ADV Joints : 0 Total estimated DOF not counting redundant constraints : 0 The Positive Redundant DOF is being removed by the applied velocity of 10 rad/sec. So what is the issue ? 1. I would like to understand the error given by the solver " The Intergrator Failed to proceed after 1.005 Sec " ? Why and how to make it continue. 2. Proper documentation to understand the " Simulation setting "- DSTIFF,VSTIFF, etc....? What are the values ? 2. The tolerance that i need to set for the analysis to continue ? How to decide I am available to have discussion at you best possible time over the forum or I can get in touch with a long call at my mobile. This is an urgent requirement as I have to compare the results with the Hand calcs that our team has done. I hope a reply and assistance at the earliest. Thank you for your time .   19. Sir, In reference to the previous conversation on the doubt regarding the multi body dynamics , we have the following problems . PROBLEM 1 :- How to find the forces on a particular member ( lower A-arm)when the vehicle is in dynamic condition like bump force, forces at the time of cornering through MBD? PROBLEM 2 :- We have done some analysis through supra template on MOTION VIEW but how to change the rotational orientation of the joints such as ball joints And to create joints in Motion View REGRESILY WAITING FOR YOUR REPLY.   21. Hi, I'm currently trying to use the FMI-Standard in order to calculate the frequency response of a mechanical System in Matlab/Simulink. This is my current approach: 1. Import a stp-file in Hypermesh, do the meshing and define a material and property (OptiStruct-Solver) 2. Export the Hypermesh-Session as fem-file 3. Create a flexible body in MotionView using FlexPrep and the fem-file from step 2 - Synthesis Type: Craig-Bampton - Cutoff type/value: 15 highest Modes - perform stress and strain recovery 4. Define a torque as input and an angular displacement at the same point as the output, by using SolverVariables and SolverArrays 5. Export the MotionSolve-Model as FMU After defining the necessary environmental variables and importing the FMU in Simulink the simulation works fine, but the frequency response isn't plausible and it seems to be independent of the chosen material in step 1. Can you imagine a possible reason for that? Thank you in advance! The problem seems to be, that the rotational stiffness is infinite, no matter which material I choose, even though the translational stiffness is not infinite. Has anyone of you experienced the same problem so far? Thank you in advance!
  22. Hello, I set up the cosimulation from the tutorial (inverted pendulum). In the end, it worked and I could adjust both, matlab and hyperworks Model for a SISO-control design. However, I fail to set up a co-simulation with my own model. I tried to connect a Hyperworksmodel (revolution shaft cam from the motionview tutorial) with a matlab model (providing just a sine offset and one output). By running the motionsolve model and creating an xml file for the matlab input, I receive the weird output: Both models are attached. I don't know how to resolve this error. Do you have any clue?
