  1. Dear all, I'm working on a project as the attached image shown: We want to increase the natural frequency of the blue plate by design reinforcing components attach to the plate. Therefore we set up a design space (green block). The objective is max mode 1 frequency of the whole model, and constraint is max 0.5 volume fraction of the design space. However as the second image shown: 1. Mostly only the element on the edge of the design space are left, and it's easy to understand they WON'T help to increase the plate natural frequency at all; 2. The mid elements circled in black are "floating", meaning they are not attached to the plate at all. Could anyone help to figure out what I may do wrong in the setup?   2. Hello, I am trying to do a topology optimization over a subframe piece. In order to do that, I minimize the volume with respect to all the load cases. As of right now, I am trying to add a natural frequency constraint to my problem. To do that I followed the tutorial: OS-2020: Increasing Natural Frequencies of an Automotive Splash Shield with Ribs However, by strictly applying that tutorial, I encounter the following error: *** ERROR # 5617 *** The SUBCASE ID in ATT1 field of DRESP1 1 does not refer to a modal FRF subcase. From what I understand from it, it is due to the loadstep defined during the creation of the response (Not appearing in the tutorial, maybe due to an update?). By suppressing the link to a loadstep by editing the response, the optimizer runs fine. However, I am not sure it took my constraint well into account. Thanks in advance for your help.
