  1. I am using the NLOUT card to gain access to the incremental results of a non-linear problem for which I am using the NLSTAT solver. Is there a way that I can write these incremental results for a single node to an output punch file? I am familiar with how to produce the punch output file (enable the output request in the subcase options, choose the quantity I want to output, define a set containing the nodes I want the results on, set the format to punch), but this seems to only write results for the final load increment. If this isn't a possibility, is there a convenient way in hyperview that I could run a macro/tcl script to access these results for a single node and store them in a text file?
  2. Good evening, I'm trying to run a simulation on a model (showed in the picture). The errors happen because of the SLIDE contact between the PIN (purple) and the CONROD (green) components. To avoid to get "error - no convergence", I decided to put SPC on the lateral faces of the CONROD component (the green one in the picture) with only dof2 possible (so it can only translates in Y direction). Is this solution good to simulate the sliding contact between a wrist pin and a connecting rod? Or do you think that there are better solutions? Thank you Pin.bmp Pin2.bmp
  3. Hi Everyone, I was performing rupture analysis using M2-John-Zeril Card Image Material . I have made Rbe2 rigid element in optistruct and after switching to radioss it has converted the rigid to RBODY automatically. So, I have doubt that : 1. I have to convert/update all RBODY back it into RBe2 element in RADIOSS Or it will work ? 2. Or, I have recreate the RBODY elements. As so far so now, I have selected and updated all the automatically created RBODY element into Rbe2 Element. But, error was encountered " ERROR ID : 804 ** ERROR IN RBE2 ELEMENT DEFINITION (MASS) .. GEOMETRY PLOT FILE ..   4. Hi everyone, I am performing a non-linear quasi-static analysis on a system made by elements with different materials and geometry. I attach the files. The system has an SPC for dof 1, 2, 3 at the bottom part and compression pressure on the other 3 sides. The problem is that the analysis does not converge because of error 4965. Is this a problem of the load pattern or load type, or a problem of analysis parameter setting? Before this trial I performed on the same model a non-linear quasi-static analysis of simple tension along x axis imposing a displacement on the right side of the system and an SPC for dof 1, 2, 3 on the left side and the analysis converged. After this I imposed the displacement also along y axis, but it didn't converge, so I tried with forces, and then pressures, but the analysis didn't converge. If the problem is the load setting, the definition of an envelope of the vertical loads with the horizontal loads could give good results? Bests Martina Simm2D_full_compression.hm
  5. Hello everyone, I've performed a non-linear quasi-static with seven components. I applied a moment in the middle component that transfer the load to the others gears. The behavior of others component are according to the expectations. But when I assign 20% of scale in deformation (in order to see the animation) the middle component has a strange behavior. Someone knows why does it happen? Follow the pictures before and after assigned the scale. Thanks in advance. Henry
